Minjiangyuan National Wetland Park is located in Chuanzhusi Town, Songpan County, mainly including the headwaters of the Minjiang River and the surrounding areas, from west to east in a narrow corridor, the westernmost point to the Gonggangling at an altitude of 4,300 meters, and the easternmost section to the "Ninth Ring Road" 32 kilometers. Since the Minjiangyuan National Wetland Park was approved for pilot construction of the National Wetland Park in December 2014, after five years of protection and construction, in December 2019, the Minjiangyuan National Wetland Park was officially approved as a national wetland park by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration. Minjiangyuan National Wetland Park is the birthplace of the Minjiang River, belongs to the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, is the ecological barrier of the Chengdu Plain, and is also the origin of the Minshan River in Dayu, the birthplace of the ancient Shu civilization and the hometown of the ancient country of Ranshu.
