On May 12th, more than 50 volunteers from more than 10 organizations, including the Yishui County Volunteer Service Federation of Linyi City, the County Sunflower Student Center, the County Hospital Social Work Volunteer Service Team, the County Cultural Volunteer Association, the County Yimeng Volunteer Association, the County Outdoor and Outward Bound Sports Association, and the County Charity Social Work Service Center, walked into Hushandian Village, Dongtou Town, Linyi City to carry out the activity of "Caring for Flowers in the Warm Sunset", bringing flour, rice, soybean milk powder, biscuits and other foods to each of the 20 elderly people over 80 years old in the village. Sent holiday gifts to mothers, and at the same time brought spring and autumn shirts, school bags, food and other learning materials and snacks for each of the 35 students, the professional social workers of the county Shanai Social Work Service Center carried out youth work and elderly work, counseling and psychological counseling, and cultural volunteers also read and recited with the children, which enhanced the children's cohesion and expanded the children's horizons and knowledge.
Under the leadership of Ma Jihua, vice president of the federation, volunteers went to the homes of the elderly who did not change their actions, talked with the elderly cordially, asked the elderly about their physical condition, instructed the elderly to take medicine on time, and brought daily necessities and materials to the elderly.
Volunteers from the County Cultural Volunteer Association explained to the children the benefits of reading and why we should learn, and also read books, play games and guess riddles with the children, which greatly broadened the children's horizons.
The volunteers of Sunflower Scholarship distributed snacks and schoolbags to the children, and let the children wear new clothes, so that the children felt the warmth and care of the social family, and strongly encouraged the children to study hard and grow up to become the pillars of the country.
The professional social workers of Shanai Social Work Service Center explained the common sense of fraud prevention to the children and the elderly, and carried out professional knowledge such as psychological counseling and social work consultation.
