As the only town in the Hui District of Hohhot, there are Han, Mongolian, Hui, Tibetan and other ethnic groups integrated and co-lived, and was successfully established as a demonstration unit for ethnic unity and progress in Hohhot in 2022. Grass-roots party organizations are the foundation of the party's governance, and Youyoubanzhen has always adhered to the guidance of party building and regarded the construction of grass-roots party organizations as a strong "fighting fortress" to maintain national unity and oppose separatism. A leading group for the creation of national unity and progress has been set up to formulate and issue a work plan, clarify goals and requirements, and improve the mechanism for deliberation and coordination. At the same time, the sense of community of the Chinese nation will be included in the compulsory content of the "three meetings and one lesson" of the theoretical study center group of the town party committee and the party organizations of each village (resident), and continuously improve the ability and theoretical level of the national unity work of town and village cadres. Strengthen the linkage with the organization, propaganda and other departments, integrate the work of ethnic unity with grassroots party building and grassroots social governance, promote ethnic integration through organizational integration, and ensure that the party's ethnic theory is "understood" at the grassroots level, ethnic policies are "grasped" at the grassroots level, and ethnic work is "done" at the grassroots level, so as to consolidate the great unity of all ethnic groups.

The Chinese nation shares a spiritual homeland and is a powerful bond for the people of all ethnic groups to unite and forge ahead. With the main line of forging the sense of community of the Chinese nation, the town takes the inheritance and development of the excellent traditional Chinese culture as an important way to build a common spiritual home for the Chinese nation, makes good use of the red culture and ethnic minority cultural resources in the jurisdiction, and uses the WeChat public account, today's headlines, theoretical lecture room, new era civilization practice institute (station), "red pomegranate" post station and other ways to carry out all-round and three-dimensional propaganda work of national unity and progress through traditional festivals, national unity and progress propaganda month, etc. Create a strong atmosphere of publicity throughout the town. Since 2024, more than 30 ethnic unity activities have been carried out in Youyouban Town, actively promoting exchanges and integration of various ethnic groups, so that the people of all ethnic groups are like brothers and sisters, and they are like a family.

Ethnic unity is a social condition for the masses of all ethnic groups to live and study together, build and share together, and work and enjoy together. Based on reality, Youyouban Town actively promotes the creation of national unity and progress, regards the improvement of human settlements and infrastructure construction as important projects for long-term development, laying the foundation and promoting people's livelihood, pays close attention to rural governance, strengthens infrastructure construction, and consolidates the foundation for rural revitalization. With village (residential) services as the focus, 7 "red pomegranate" post stations have been built in the whole town. We will continue to carry out mass education and practice activities of "feeling the party's kindness, listening to the party, and following the party", so that the sense of community of the Chinese nation can be firmly rooted in the mind and heart, so that brothers and sisters of all ethnic groups can communicate and communicate like relatives, exchange hearts for hearts, and promote the in-depth expansion of the work of building national unity and progress. Up to now, Youyouban Town and Dongwusutu Village have won the honorary title of Hohhot National Unity and Progress Demonstration Unit, and are actively creating a demonstration unit of national unity and progress in Dongpengzi Village.
