According to the latest data from China Bus Statistical Information Network, in April 2024, China's new energy buses will be exported 992 units, a slight decrease of 1.29% year-on-year, but a month-on-month increase of 68.71%. Breaking through the "involution", the export of new energy buses is promising.
April: BYD Yutong Haige ranked in the top three, Golden Dragon rose more than 44 times year-on-year, and Golden Travel ranked first month-on-month
Specifically, in April, BYD won the first place with the export of 317 new energy buses, a year-on-year increase of 37.23%, a month-on-month increase of 155.65%, and a market share of 31.96%.
Yutong Bus ranked second, with export sales of 203 new energy buses, an increase of 130.68% year-on-year and 26.09% month-on-month, with a market share of 20.46%.
The third place is Suzhou King Long (Higer Bus), the export sales of new energy buses were 138, a year-on-year and month-on-month increase of 200% and 206.67% respectively, and the market share was 13.91%.
Among the top ten enterprises, at least 6 companies achieved year-on-year growth, among which Xiamen Golden Dragon had the highest growth rate of 4466.67%. There were also more than 6 companies that achieved month-on-month growth, among which Golden Passenger Car had the highest growth rate of 622.22%. At least half of the enterprises have achieved "double growth" year-on-year and month-on-month.
However, the industry concentration of new energy bus exports is very high, with the top five companies accounting for 86.69%, while the ninth and tenth enterprises, the highest monthly sales are only 10. From another point of view, it also shows that despite the vast overseas market of new energy buses, the opportunities still mainly belong to enterprises with excellent comprehensive strength. Those companies who have the dream of "can't eat at home, and guests abroad" can wake up early!
In the first 4 months: BYD Yutong Haige led the way, and Jinlong topped the year-on-year period
From January to April, China's new energy buses were exported 2,900, a year-on-year decrease of 18.52%, which was mainly related to the high base last year and the release of compensatory demand after the recovery of the epidemic.
BYD won the crown with the export of 925 new energy buses, a year-on-year increase of 18.59%, and a market share of 31.90%, with a prominent leading advantage.
Yutong bus ranked second, with export sales of 647 new energy buses, a year-on-year increase of 49.42%, and a market share of 22.31%.
The third place is Suzhou King Long (Higer Bus), with export sales of 284 new energy buses, a year-on-year increase of 6.37%, and a market share of 9.79%.
Among the top ten enterprises, at least 4 companies achieved year-on-year growth, of which Xiamen Golden Dragon had the highest growth rate of 245.71%.
Judging from the cumulative export sales of new energy buses in the first four months, the winner-takes-all "Matthew effect" is highlighted, and the concentration of the top five is as high as 79.79%, and the last three companies have a cumulative export volume of less than 70 vehicles.
Large and medium-sized April: the industry "double growth" year-on-year, "Matthew effect" is significant
If the export sales of large and medium-sized new energy buses are taken as the caliber, the sales volume in April was 785, an increase of 11.66% year-on-year and 36.52% month-on-month.
BYD exported 317 new energy buses, an increase of 37.23% year-on-year, a month-on-month increase of 155.65%, and a market share of 40.38% to win the first place, with a higher market share than the overall new energy bus exports, thanks to BYD's exports of all large and medium-sized new energy buses.
Yutong bus ranked second, large and medium-sized new energy bus export sales of 198, a year-on-year increase of 125%, a month-on-month increase of 22.98%, a market share of 25.22%, compared with the overall new energy bus exports are also higher, which also benefits from the vast majority of Yutong exports are large and medium-sized new energy buses.
The third place is Suzhou Jinlong (Higer Bus), the export sales of new energy buses were 107, a year-on-year and month-on-month increase of 132.61% and 197.22% respectively, and the market share was 13.63%.
Among the top ten enterprises, at least 6 companies achieved year-on-year growth, among them, Yaxing Bus had the highest growth rate of 1300%. There are more than 5 companies that have achieved month-on-month growth, and Yaxing Bus also has the highest increase, reaching 600%, which is like the rhythm of "opening and hanging". At least 4 companies have achieved year-on-year and month-on-month "double growth".
From the perspective of market concentration, the top three companies accounted for 79.23%, the last five companies sold less than 30 vehicles in a single month, and the ninth and tenth companies were even less than 10 vehicles, and the "Matthew effect" was extremely significant.
In the first 4 months of large and medium-sized enterprises: the industry pattern was preliminarily finalized
From January to April, China's large and medium-sized new energy buses achieved exports of 2,519, a year-on-year decrease of 10.29%, in a short adjustment period, and the future can still be expected.
BYD won the championship with the export of 859 large and medium-sized new energy buses, a year-on-year increase of 10.13%, and a market share of 34.10%.
Yutong Bus ranked second, with export sales of 642 new energy buses, a year-on-year increase of 50%, and a market share of 25.49%.
The third place is Suzhou King Long (Higer Bus), with export sales of 229 new energy buses, a year-on-year increase of 48.7%, and a market share of 9.09%.
Among the top ten enterprises, at least 4 companies achieved year-on-year growth, among them, Xiamen Golden Dragon had the highest growth rate of 193.33%.
Judging from the cumulative export sales of large and medium-sized new energy buses in the first four months, the "Matthew effect" is also significant, with the concentration of the top three as high as 68.68%, while the bottom three companies have a cumulative export volume of less than 60 vehicles.
It is worth mentioning that whether it is the export of new energy buses in a single month in April, or the cumulative exports in the first four months of this year, or the monthly and cumulative exports of large and medium-sized new energy buses, the top three companies are BYD, Yutong Bus, Suzhou King Long (Higer Bus), and the industry pattern is initially finalized. However, only 1/3 of 2024 has passed, and the overseas export ranking is also greatly affected by large orders.
