The Australian 186 permanent residence visa was approved, and the civil engineer employer sponsored the PR in one step

author:Austronics immigrated to study abroad

Civil engineers have always been a popular immigration position in Australia, and they have been on the list of medium and long-term occupations in Australia for a long time, and there are many visa categories that can be applied for, such as employer-sponsored visas (186/494/482 visas) and points-based skilled migration visas (189/190/491 visas).

Of course, compared with employer-sponsored immigration, the price of points-based skilled immigration is indeed higher, but in reality, there are always some customers who cannot meet the scoring requirements of skilled immigration because of their own unsatisfactory conditions, or whose scores are too low and have not been invited.

In this issue, I would like to share with you the successful case of a civil engineer who got Australian PR in one step, and it took more than 13 months for the visa to be approved.

Congratulations to Mr. W for being granted the Australian 186 permanent residence visa

Case Analysis

Mr. W, with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering in China, has been engaged in related work since graduation, and belongs to the applicant with the threshold score of skilled immigration (score composition: age 25 points + education 15 points + work experience 15 points + spouse language 5 points = naked score 60 points).

According to his EOI score, he can apply for 190 and 491 visas for skilled immigration, but the client only wants to get permanent residence in one step, and does not want to take the 491 temporary visa, and he only has a threshold point.

Although the Australian skilled migration policy was relatively relaxed in the last fiscal year, the client's EOI has not been heard from since October 2022, Mr. W's age is almost 40 years old, and the EOI score has dropped by 10 points and he can no longer apply for the 190 visa.

While Mr. W was anxious, the immigration lawyer offered another permanent residency option, which was an employer-sponsored 186 visa. In February 2023, the client made up his mind to choose to go for employer sponsorship.

After matching a qualified Australian employer, at the end of March 2023, the immigration lawyer submitted 186 employer nomination and visa applications for the client at the same time, and the employer nomination was approved in early February 2024.

In March 2024, Mr. W received a notice from the Immigration Bureau for a physical examination and a supplementary notarization of no criminal record in China, and in early April 2024, he was approved for an Australian 186 permanent residence visa, and obtained PR in one step as an employer sponsor.

In fact, Mr. W's case is not an isolated case, many friends who do not have enough EOI scores or are facing overage have given up the points-based skilled immigration system to become employer sponsorship because of timely adjustment of the immigration plan, and have been approved to land in Australia.

There is more than one path for Australian immigration, and only by fully understanding the immigration policy and reasonably customizing the plan that suits you can you lock in success.
