You need to be aware of these precautions
1. Go out less
Seriously, it's unrealistic for most people not to go out, but when dust weather occurs, it's best not to go out. Because the air at this time contains a large amount of PM2.5 and ultrafine particulate matter, basically every breath you take is a strong irritation to the respiratory tract. If you do go out, be sure to wear a mask and try to keep your time outdoors as short as possible.
If you have cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases or respiratory diseases, try not to go out. High concentrations of ultrafine particulate matter can induce some acute respiratory problems, such as acute cardiovascular problems, asthma, etc., the consequences are more serious, try not to take risks.
2. Bring a pair of masks
Choose the right mask. Medical masks or ordinary masks are not recommended, although they are comfortable to wear, but they are not effective in protecting ultra-fine particles, it is best to use KN95 or N95, if you really don't have KN90 or N90. By the way, if it doesn't involve the problem that the air you exhale contains germs, the model with a breathing valve can also be worn.
3. Wash your hands, face, hair and shower after returning home
High winds blow not only sand and dust, but also pollutants such as germs from garbage cans and pollen from flowers that can make you allergic...... As you pass through the dust, these pollutants will remain on your face, hair, and even clothing, and if not treated in time, these pathogens and allergens may slip through your mouth and nose into your body. You don't need a special detergent to clean up these dirty things, just use your daily facial cleanser and shampoo.
4. Rinse your nose
If you have allergies, it is recommended to wash your nasal passages after bathing. Even though we wear masks, there may still be fish that slip through the net and are happy in our nasal passages, so it is also a good idea to rinse our nasal passages with saline (or water if you don't have one) when you get home. In addition, when pollen is raging in spring, the "nasal washing method" can also solve the big problem.
5. Turn on fresh air and air purifiers
That's right, even if you close the doors and windows long before the dust hits, it's still recommended that you turn on the air purifier and do it manually. If your air purifiers are auto-detected, they tend to only detect PM2.5 and turn a blind eye to PM10. Therefore, it is best to manually open the strong wind brackets to ensure that they work strongly during dusty weather and filter out the fine dust that penetrates through the cracks in doors and windows. Remember to manually clean or replace the filter and filter cartridge after dusty weather, after all, the air purifier is also full of pressure after this kind of weather.
By the way, during dusty weather, the color of the sky can sometimes look a little reddish, making people wonder if the end of the world is coming. Don't worry, it's just that the sand and dust floating in the air scatter the sunlight, and no monsters will come out of it.
