Fast Technology reported on May 14 that Hyundai Motor Group announced its financial report for the first quarter of 2024.

According to the financial report, the group's sales reached 66.87 trillion won (about 353.074 billion yuan), and the operating profit was 6.98 trillion won, (about 37 billion yuan), leading the world with an operating profit margin of 10.4%.

In addition, the IONIQ 5 N, a high-performance electric vehicle, is scheduled to enter the Chinese market within the year, marking the further deepening of Hyundai's electrification strategy in China.

To meet the needs of the Chinese market, Hyundai Motor is working with South Korea's Namyang R&D Center and China Technology R&D Center to develop local electric models.

It is expected to be gradually launched from next year and form a complete China-specific pure electric product line by 2027.

At the same time, Hyundai Motor will supply 14 units of the Nexo, a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle to the national energy group Guohua Investment Company, and plans to expand demonstration operations in Beijing, Ningxia, Hebei, Jiangsu and other places.

In 2024, Hyundai Motor also plans to expand its hydrogen energy application in the Chinese market by promoting 1,500 vehicles, including buses, passenger cars, logistics vehicles, refrigerated trucks, and hydrogen autonomous sweepers, to Guangzhou and the Development Zone.
