According to the latest data released by China Railway Group, from January to April this year, a total of 6,184 China-Europe trains were operated and 675,000 TEUs of goods were sent, an increase of 10% and 11% year-on-year respectively. The growth rate continued to expand compared with the first quarter.
Behind the growth of China-Europe freight train volume is the expanding demand for capacity. In recent years, due to the continuous turbulence of the international environment, the price of shipping has been high, especially after the outbreak of the Red Sea crisis at the end of last year, the demand for cross-border e-commerce for China-Europe trains has become stronger.
