May 12 this year is the 16th National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day. In order to carry out in-depth publicity and education on disaster prevention and reduction, and effectively improve the public's awareness of disaster prevention and mitigation and their ability to help themselves and each other, recently, the Huangling Highway Section organized a National Disaster Prevention and Reduction Day publicity activity with the theme of "Everyone Stresses Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond to Emergencies - Strive to Improve the Ability of Grassroots Disaster Prevention and Avoidance".
At the event site, the staff widely publicized the knowledge and skills of highway disaster prevention and emergency avoidance through various forms such as setting up consultation desks, distributing publicity materials, hanging publicity banners, and answering questions on the spot. Through real disaster cases, we patiently explain to the masses how to correctly respond to and save themselves and each other when encountering sudden highway disasters, and remind everyone to always pay attention to all kinds of disaster risks around them, and improve their awareness of prevention and response capabilities. At the same time, the Huangling Highway Section also uses an online platform to release information and popular science knowledge related to disaster prevention and mitigation to further expand the coverage and influence of publicity.
In this publicity activity, a total of more than 350 copies of publicity materials were distributed, and more than 80 people were consulted by the masses, which effectively improved the public's awareness and understanding of highway disaster prevention and mitigation work, fully demonstrated the work effectiveness of our section in ensuring the safety of trunk roads and serving the masses, achieved good publicity and education results, and created a good atmosphere for the whole society to pay attention to and participate in disaster prevention and mitigation.
After that, this section will take this event as an opportunity to continue to strengthen the construction of highway disaster prevention and control capabilities, continuously improve the level of highway safety and security, and create a safer and smoother highway environment for the masses to travel.
