Canada Federal EE Express Entry

Recently, the 2024 quota allocation of Canada's Express Entry EE system was exposed. According to IRCC's response, in 2024, the proportion of EE categories in the total quota is: French category, 30%; STEM occupations, accounting for 25%; medical and nursing occupations, accounting for 15%; Skilled occupations, accounting for 5%; transportation occupations, accounting for 3%; Agriculture and food occupations, accounting for 0.5%.

It can be seen that the total share of targeted invitations is 78.5%, and the remaining 21.5% is a regular lottery (including CEC Canadian Experience Class, FSW Federal Skilled Worker Class and FST Federal Skilled Worker Class).

According to Canada's Immigration Levels Plan 2024-2026, the federal Express Entry EE's annual immigration target is 110,770 in 2024 and 117,500 in 2025. From this point of view, the number of invitees that IRCC plans to invite through each category in 2024 is roughly as follows:

Provincial nominations for Canadian provinces

1. British Columbia

Recently, the British Columbia Province announced that it will reform the provincial nominee BCPNP, the most explosive content of which is the cancellation of the existing master's and doctoral programs, and the merger and reorganization of international graduate programs to unify the reform.

According to the official website, the BCPNP will usher in a major update from January 2025, and the original "BCPNP International Student Employer Sponsored Immigration" and "BC Provincial Master's and Doctoral Express" are integrated and replanned into 3 sub-programs, namely: "BCPNP Undergraduate Graduate Immigration", "BCPNP Master's Graduate Immigration", and "BCPNP Doctoral Train".

After the reform, master's students were directly kicked out of the "through train" category, although the "BC master's degree graduate immigration" no longer restricts majors, but a new mandatory requirement for job offers, which means that you can no longer immigrate after graduation.

More importantly, in the future, "BCPNP Undergraduate Graduate Immigration" and "BCPNP Master's Graduate Immigration" will use the registration pool, that is, it is very likely to be a point system like other BCPNP programs.

On May 7, the BC Provincial Nominees continued to issue regular invitations with the following details:

● Science and technology: minimum score of 120 points, 41 people invited.

● Construction industry: minimum score of 93 points, 12 people invited.

● Healthcare industry: minimum score of 100 points, 12 people invited.

● Childcare industry: minimum score of 90 points, 11 people invited.

● Veterinary Nursing Industry: Minimum score of 80 points, less than 5 people invited.
