In order to further practice the concept of the new curriculum standard, explore the effective implementation path and classroom pattern of interdisciplinary learning in mathematics, and improve students' comprehensive literacy, on the afternoon of May 9, 2024, all mathematics teachers of Chengxian Street Primary School, Suojin Village No. 2 Primary School, Yueyuan Primary School, and Lixian Primary School gathered in the recording classroom on the second floor of Lixian Primary School to participate in the theme teaching and research activity of "'Interdisdisgenary' Classroom Practice and Exploration Pointing to the Cultivation of Comprehensive Literacy". The event was presided over by Sun Chen, a teacher from Yueyuan Primary School. The activity is mainly divided into three sections: "lesson case display, teacher lecture, and lecture sharing".
Classroom presentations
In the first lesson, Mr. Wang Pinggui and the children of Class 3 (1) brought "The Princes of the Four Sides Looking for Their Relatives", how to make students fall in love with mathematics is a difficult problem, so that boring mathematical theorems and interesting stories are undoubtedly a perfect partner. The story of the picture book is vivid and interesting, with twists and turns, and contains profound mathematical truths.
In the second lesson, Ms. Zhou Juan of Lixian Primary School and the children of Class 5 (5) brought "The Past and Present Life of Degrees", Ms. Zhou took Chinese history as the background, idioms as the object, combined with the knowledge of quantity, and through research and discovery, deepened the understanding of quantity and measurement units, and was able to sort out and compare different quantities, so as to enrich and develop the sense of quantity.
The teacher speaks
The two teachers talked about their own thoughts and those of the math team on the whole lesson from their own lessons. In the teaching of mathematics in primary schools, the two teachers have the courage to break through the limitations of disciplines, integrate mathematics with other subjects, strengthen students' comprehensive learning, and integrate the knowledge of Chinese, science, art and other subjects into mathematics classroom teaching, so that students can appreciate the charm of interdisciplinarity.
Lecture sharing
Finally, Ms. Jiang Juan from Yueyuan Primary School and Ms. Wang Heng from Chengxian Street Primary School gave wonderful lectures respectively. Mr. Jiang mentioned that interdisciplinary homework is an assignment that integrates the knowledge and thinking mode of multiple disciplines and relies on a theme activity. To complete this kind of homework, students need to comprehensively use the knowledge of various disciplines to examine and analyze problems, so as to improve their comprehensive inquiry ability and multi-dimensional thinking ability to solve practical problems. Mr. Wang Heng pointed out the pain points of interdisciplinary teaching design and the current situation of "difficult to find" interdisciplinary themes through lectures, and then showed some of his interdisciplinary thinking in education and teaching.
The interdisciplinary classroom integrates multidisciplinary content, students are full of interest, and teachers teach naturally, and the spark of thinking between teachers and students will illuminate the direction of education.
