The conference invited Guo Liangdong, chairman of the Chinese Mycological Society, and other well-known scholars at home and abroad to give keynote speeches, and the participating experts and scholars answered questions on the spot on the current development status, innovative ideas and technical strategies of edible fungi, shared advanced technology and experience in edible fungus planting management, and helped edible fungus growers and enterprises solve the problems and difficulties encountered in industrial development.

Looking back on the development history of Changshan edible mushrooms, we have to start from the 70s of the last century. In 1979, the technicians of Changshan County Microbiology Factory, with their in-depth research and unremitting efforts on edible mushroom cultivation technology, successfully cultivated Hericium erinaceus by using the residue of King Kong Thorn liquor, and selected and bred the strain of "Changshan Hericium 99" with significant advantages. "This innovative achievement not only laid a solid foundation for the start of Changshan's edible fungus industry, but also marked Changshan's official journey of edible fungus industrialization." Zheng Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Changshan County Agriculture and Rural Bureau, introduced.

In 1986, Changshan County Microbial Factory produced 750 tons of lion's mane mushroom, ranking first among similar manufacturers in the world. In 1988, the county's enoki mushroom output was 1,542 tons, becoming the largest enoki mushroom production area in the country. In 1992, the cultivation of edible mushrooms in the county reached 71.34 million bottles and bags, and the total output reached 13,000 tons.

In 2000, Changshan was officially named "the hometown of edible fungi in China", since then, Changshan County has continued to increase investment, listed Lion's mane mushroom as one of the "three treasures" of Changshan, strengthened scientific and technological innovation and personnel training, introduced Zhejiang Tianquan, Nongguang Weilan and other enterprises, and continuously improved the scientific and technological content and competitiveness of the edible fungus industry.

After more than half a century of development, Changshan Lion's Mane Mushroom has successively won the National Agricultural Products Geographical Indication Product Protection, the Gold Award of the 13th China International Agricultural Products Fair, the title of Top Ten "Zhejiang Famous Mushrooms", and the selection of "Quliu Flavor".

"Changshan edible mushrooms have a glorious history, and in the future, I think it is necessary to further focus on planting technology improvement, deep processing, brand building, etc., increase the research and development of mushrooms, improve the industrial chain, and enhance the added value and competitiveness of edible fungi." Han Xinghua, president of the Bacterial Culture Branch of the Chinese Mycological Society and chairman of Zhejiang Tianquan Biotechnology Co., Ltd., is full of confidence in the development of Changshan edible fungus industry.

At present, Changshan edible mushrooms mainly cultivate 7 varieties such as lion's mane mushroom, morel mushroom, and shiitake mushroom, of which morel mushroom cultivation area is 1,000 acres, and the cultivation scale ranks first in the province. There are 35 large-scale entities, 5 municipal-level demonstration family farms (cooperatives), 2 provincial-level and 3 deep-processing enterprises. 22 deep-processed products such as compound lion's head capsules, polysaccharides, biscuits, soft canned food, ultrafine powder, solid beverages, and probiotics have been derived. The annual output of edible fungi is 7,800 tons, and the total annual output value is 86 million yuan.

"Edible fungus industry has become one of the pillar industries of our county's agricultural economy, lion's mane mushroom, enoki mushroom and other characteristic varieties enjoy a high reputation and reputation in the domestic and foreign markets, we will take advantage of the national agricultural science and technology modernization pioneer county to create an opportunity, the launch of the "Changshan County edible fungus industry three-year development plan", increase in planting, processing, sales, branding, investment promotion, enterprise cultivation, personnel training and other whole chain, the whole link, all-round subsidies, strengthen the local enterprise production, processing, sales of professional, compound talent team." Zheng Jun said that in the future, Changshan will plan to build an edible fungus deep processing park with an output value of 100 million yuan, index the main enterprise of the chain, and embark on a new path of standardization, efficiency, ecology, sustainability and high-quality development.
