Ms. Sun, the publisher of the video, said that Zijiang Middle School in Xinhua County requires students to eat in the school cafeteria, and the meal fee is 700 yuan a month, but "students eat steel wool balls and hair". Therefore, some parents choose to deliver meals to their students or find nearby restaurants to order meals for students.

On May 10, the school suddenly issued a notice to the parent group: all boarders must eat in the canteen, and are not allowed to order meals from other parents or restaurants; Parents of dormitory students can only deliver meals per person and one lunch box, and no more meals are allowed; Politics, education, logistics, and police stations will be jointly managed at the school gate.

Ms. Sun introduced that after the notice was issued, parents who had previously entrusted restaurants to deliver meals could only choose to deliver their own meals, and the number of parents who delivered meals at the school gate was three times as usual, but some students were photographed by school staff when they went to the school gate to pick up meals.

On May 13, the reporter of Jingshi Live contacted Mr. Yang from the Academic Affairs Office of Shangzijiang Middle School. Teacher Yang told reporters that the school has a canteen, teachers and students usually eat together in the canteen, the school food raw materials are from a regular source, and the market supervision department will also inspect from time to time, the purpose is to protect the food safety of teachers and students. The reason why the notice prohibits students from ordering meals off-campus is because there is no way to ensure the safety of food in off-campus restaurants.

"Maybe the big pot of rice does not meet the taste of some students, some parents order boxed lunches from merchants near the school, and the merchants send dozens of meals to the school at a time, and the school has difficulty distinguishing whether these meals meet the standards, so they are not allowed." Teacher Yang said that the school allows parents to deliver meals to their own children, but not to other children, which is also due to food safety concerns.

Regarding the photo taken in Ms. Sun's video, Teacher Yang explained that the reason for taking the photo was that there was a person who brought forty or fifty boxed lunches to the school at that time, ready to distribute them to the students, and the school was not sure whether this person was a parent or a vendor, so the staff took photos to keep the certificate, "It is not allowed for one person to send dozens of copies."

The staff of the Xinhua County Education Bureau of Loudi City also said that the school does not allow parents to order meals outside the school, and it is also in consideration of the food safety of students, and the Education Bureau has arranged personnel to go to the school to understand the specific situation, and will negotiate with the school and parents to find a solution that satisfies everyone.

Before going to press, the reporter found that Ms. Sun had deleted the video.
