On the afternoon of the 13th, the Information Office of the Fuyang Municipal People's Government issued a notice on this matter, saying that the Fuyang Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government attach great importance to it and decided to set up an investigation team led by the responsible comrades of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, the Municipal Political and Legal Committee, the Municipal Forestry Bureau, the Municipal Public Security Bureau and the Yingdong District Government to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the death of wild animals, and the follow-up investigation and disposal will be announced to the public in a timely manner.
The circular stated that Fuyang City resolutely protects all kinds of wild animals in accordance with laws and regulations, severely punishes illegal and criminal acts that endanger wild animals, and seriously holds relevant responsible personnel accountable, so as to build a solid protection barrier for wild animals.

Previously, according to the "Chinese Philanthropist", Anhui Fuyang Wildlife Park illegally exhibited and artificially bred the Siberian tiger, a national first-class protected animal, without obtaining an artificial breeding license. Due to the impact of the dispute over the management rights of the zoo, a large number of wild animals died, including 20 Siberian tigers, 2 African lions, 3 giraffes and other rare wild animals.
According to the report, there are currently 16 Siberian tigers alive in the park, as well as African lions, giraffes, black bears and other animals, which have been locked in transportation cages for a long time, with a small space and worrying living conditions.

On May 13, Anhui Fuyang Wildlife Park issued a temporary closure announcement. The announcement said that due to the hot weather, some venues in the park were upgraded, and the park was closed for three days from 5.13 to 5.15, and it was open normally on Thursday on May 16.
