All kinds of volunteer service organizations and volunteer service teams strive to participate in the exhibition competition, get the opportunity to publicize and promote the project, and also get the opportunity to get the support of social resources.

The General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the State Council recently issued the "Opinions on Improving the Volunteer Service System in the New Era", proposing to "promote the operation of volunteer service projects and create projects with distinct themes, unique characteristics, and popular with the masses." However, in the evaluation process of previous competitions, we also found that some volunteers and volunteer service organizations confused the relationship between volunteer service projects and other work and other activities, and the presentation was vague and ineffective. The relationship between volunteering projects and their own work

In recent years, more and more organs, units, enterprises and institutions have participated in volunteer service and actively participated in the volunteer service project display competition, which is a very good trend and is also conducive to the development of a volunteer service mobilization mechanism with full participation and active participation of the whole society. However, we often see that some volunteer service projects from departments and units do not distinguish the difference between their own work and volunteer service when they participate in the competition, and are often questioned by professional judges. For example, some departments involved in people's livelihood services will also introduce the content of serving the masses in their work as a volunteer service project. For example, some volunteer service projects in hospitals and health centers introduce doctors to provide consulting services to patients on the job and regularly visit patients for long-term patients according to the requirements of the hospital as volunteer services, which were questioned by the professional judges. In other cases, departments involved in the management and coordination of volunteerism have the work of the coordination process presented as a volunteering project. State-owned enterprises, private enterprises, and foreign-related enterprises are increasingly keen to participate in volunteer services, and employees are also encouraged to form volunteer service teams and carry out distinctive service activities. However, the volunteer teams of some enterprises do not distinguish between the presentation and introduction of volunteer service projects, and confuse the enterprise benefiting the people with volunteer service, which is easy to cause controversy. Therefore, when volunteers show and introduce, they can take the company's measures of caring for people's livelihood and benefiting the people as the basis, and at the same time focus on introducing the volunteer service team of enterprise employees to carry out love and dedication and help the masses. I remember that there was a project competition, one of the projects of the volunteer service team of the local branch of the State Grid, when the project was displayed, the attention of the party committee of the enterprise and the support of the enterprise administration were highlighted, including the party secretary for the volunteer service team to give the flag, the general manager's office meeting to provide certain financial support, and so on. As a result, at the time of the defense, some review experts asked, "You said that the company's party committee and administration promoted; It is also said that it provides services such as line maintenance and light bulb replacement for the elderly and disabled people in rural areas; Aren't these the scope of public services for power grid enterprises? We believe that volunteers and volunteer service organizations should take the company's service to the people as the foundation, and then extend and highlight the volunteer service content of love and dedication, that is, the employees of the enterprise should voluntarily and voluntarily participate in the service activities of caring for the masses and helping the masses.

Similarly, by analogy, there is a difference between the lectures of volunteer service experts and the lectures of professional volunteers. Volunteer service research experts and education majors are recruited to teach in institutions and units, and receive remuneration for expert teaching, at this time, it is not the identity of volunteers, but only the identity of experts. Therefore, volunteers and volunteer service organizations may often be associated with and interact with charity and public welfare when participating in the exhibition of volunteer service projects, but it is necessary to pay attention to the difference and reflect the characteristics of volunteer service projects. For example, when I participated in the evaluation of a volunteer service project competition, 80% of the budget of a volunteer service project that cared for left-behind children was used to purchase stationery and supplies to support left-behind children. The jury experts pointed out that this was not in line with the rules for the use of funds for volunteer service projects. Because, generally speaking, more than 80% of the funds for charitable projects should be used to fund special groups and solve difficulties and problems; However, more than 70% of the funds for volunteer service projects should be used for the service activities themselves, including training and counseling before the volunteer service, transportation costs and insurance costs during the service process, and cost accounting for caring for and helping left-behind children to carry out service activities, etc., while no more than 30% of the expenses used for donating and subsidizing service recipients should not be used. At the same time, the volunteer service project is not only to distribute funds and materials to the elderly, children, the disabled, and family members in need, but also to reflect psychological care and life services, family companionship and help to grow, etc. Therefore, those teams with a charity and public welfare background should pay special attention to such details when carrying out volunteer service projects and displaying volunteer service projects.

For example, in a volunteer service project jointly declared by a nursing home and a volunteer team, some women volunteers were particularly attentive and thoughtful among the "aunts" who came to the nursing home to participate in the care services. Every time I come to care for and help the elderly, chat, massage, and tidy up the room, I pay special attention to what the elderly say and express their wishes. When we were judging some volunteer service competitions, we found that some of the projects from the community were showcased, and the content was that the people gathered together to learn gardening, flower arrangement, paper-cutting and other skills, as well as singing and dancing together. The professional judges believe that if you only provide these activities, it is only a hobby activity and cannot be used as a volunteer service project. So, how do hobby activities translate into volunteering projects? It is to give the skills learned in interest activities, such as flower arrangement, paper-cutting, etc., to special groups in need, such as the elderly, the disabled, and the children of foreigners, to bring them happiness; For example, the choir and dance team regularly and irregularly perform at the homes of the elderly and the disabled, bringing joy and sharing to special groups. During the project review, we found that when some volunteers introduced the project, they tended to talk about the development of the volunteer service organization, what services they have carried out, what results they have obtained, what changes and promotions they have, what honors they have achieved, and so on. These presentations, if they participate in the exchange of experience of volunteer service organizations, or apply for the volunteer service organization excellence award, are in line with the requirements. However, as a general introduction to participate in the project exhibition and exchange, it cannot highlight the characteristics of project planning and implementation, the effectiveness of the project in serving the social population, and the influence of the project's social communication, so it cannot meet the requirements of the project competition. In addition, there are some projects, when they are presented and exchanged, they are said to be project research reports, activity evaluation reports, etc., which also deviate from the requirements of project competitions. We believe that as an excellent volunteer service project, when presenting and communicating, we should focus on the needs generated by the project, that is, the problems that need to be solved; The objectives and content of the project, i.e., what services are provided; The project implementation process and plan, i.e., the steps that are progressively advanced; the results of the project, i.e. the change and problems solved by the service; The innovative features of the project, i.e. how this project differs from other similar projects, etc. After the centralized display and introduction of the volunteer service project, you can briefly introduce the organization's personnel, management structure, honors, etc., as a guarantee of the ability to implement the project. That is to say, when participating in the competition, "the project is the main thing, and the organization is supplemented"; "Implementation first, honor secondary", it is not appropriate to take the lead and introduce too much organization and honor.
