Huang Jinxiang, a resident of Xinyuan New Village, Xinhai Town, pointed to the low flowers on the ground and told reporters that replacing tall bushes with low green plants was his "golden idea" and several other residents in the community.

In April this year, Huang Jinxiang and several other residents reported the problem of the green belt blocking the view and rectification suggestions to the people's suggestion collection site in the residential area of Xinhai No. 2 Village. After understanding the situation, Cai Jihui, secretary of the general party branch of Xinhai No. 2 Village, invited the relevant persons in charge of the town safety office, Xinhai police station and greening company to conduct on-site investigation for the first time. "After the removal, the vision was suddenly wider and fresher, and it also ensured our travel safety." Huang Jinxiang said with a smile.
This case also served as a wake-up call for other residential communities, and the neighborhood committee paid attention to the situation of the non-green isolation zone in a timely manner, issued a report on the situation, and contacted relevant departments to prune regularly to ensure safety. After the people's suggestion collection site received the "golden idea", the relevant departments of the local neighborhood committee and the town responded to the residents' demands and negotiated the implementation as soon as possible.
Xinhai Town is located at the northwest tip of Chongming Island, and its jurisdiction includes four municipal state-owned farms: Yuanyuejin, Xinhai, Hongxing and Long March. Most of the problems and suggestions reported by residents are biased towards micro-construction, micro-renovation and other areas of people's livelihood, which are closely related to life, and the adoption rate of feasible suggestions has reached 100%. Wan Lingling, a staff member of the Xinhai Town People's Suggestion Collection Station, told reporters that although the "golden idea" is small, it is not an exception, and it provides ideas and "models" for solving similar problems. The people's suggestion is that the solicitation site should be matched, and multi-department linkage will eventually turn the "golden idea" of the masses into the "golden key" of social governance and bear the "golden fruit" of benefiting the people.
Chongming attaches great importance to the collection of people's suggestions, and in recent years, it has insisted on taking the collection of people's suggestions as an important channel for listening to the voices of the people, grasping the people's feelings, understanding the people's opinions, and gathering the people's wisdom, and encouraging and guiding the broad masses of the people to actively put forward reasonable suggestions to the party and the government.
