On the way out of the police, through the phone, Wang Lu, deputy head of Qiaozi Fire and Rescue Station, gave safety tips to the man who called the police and learned more about the situation.
13 travelers are from Hebei, mostly middle-aged, most of them are outdoor mountaineering enthusiasts, this time they came to Beijing Huairou to climb the wild mountain, do not want to climb a cliff not far from the top of the mountain, a boulder rolled down, hit one of the 43-year-old man's left calf, the weight of the boulder caused the smashed man to be unable to pull out his leg at all, other travelers can not even move, can only hollow out the soil under the boulder, in order to move the man's leg.
At 13:16, the fire and rescue personnel arrived at the bottom of the mountain, met with the emergency medical personnel of 120, and then carried professional rescue equipment and emergency food up the mountain for search and rescue.
After the beginning of summer in Beijing, the sun becomes hot in the afternoon, coupled with the rugged mountain roads and complex terrain, which adds a lot of difficulty to the fire and rescue personnel, but fortunately, they are familiar with the mountain conditions and road conditions, and the police can also describe their location, which has bought time for the rescue.
A lost mother and son suddenly call for help
At around 16 o'clock, when the fire and rescue personnel found the injured donkey, they were still shocked by the mountain in front of them. Wang Lu said that it was a large cliff composed of three or four sections, more than 60 meters high, and there were smooth boulders all over it, extremely steep, straight up and down, nearly 90 degrees vertical, and it was difficult to find a place to stay.
At that time, the injured traveler's calf was swollen and caused severe pain when he moved slightly, and the fire and rescue personnel made a preliminary fixation of his calf. In the face of such terrain and injured people, how to avoid secondary injuries in the transfer? The rescue was at an impasse for a while. As the on-site commander, Wang Lu urgently called the command center and requested that personnel and equipment be dispatched to come for reinforcements.
While waiting for reinforcements, the fire rescue personnel suddenly heard a cry for help, followed the sound and looked over, only to see a mother and son shouting "help us" on another steep wall. It turned out that the mother took her 9-year-old son to play in a nearby scenic spot when she took the wrong road and was trapped on a steep wall near the fire and rescue personnel.
After calming the emotions of the smashed donkey friend, the fire rescue personnel used ropes to rescue the trapped mother and child. At 19:32, the reinforced International Huidu Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the scene, and some of the personnel first transferred the mother and son down the mountain, and the rest of the personnel jointly rescued the injured travelers.
The entire rescue lasted 12 hours
Fire and rescue personnel used airbag stretchers to wrap the injured traveler's body to prevent him from being injured twice. After that, everyone moved down the mountain together.
Wang Lu said that because the mountain road is steep, the sky is getting dark, the whole rescue operation is slow, fire and rescue personnel must not only ensure the safety of the trapped people, but also to observe the danger of the mountain road below, many sections can only be moved down step by step, fire rescue personnel are almost "rolling and climbing" close to the ground, protecting the injured donkey, which also has to constantly adjust the angle of its body to ensure that it is free from bumps and bumps.
Fortunately, the entire transfer operation went smoothly. At 0:15 a.m. on May 13, fire and rescue personnel safely escorted the injured traveler down the mountain and handed him over to 120 emergency medical personnel to be taken to the hospital. At this point, the rescue, which lasted from daytime to midnight, lasted 12 hours.
