May 12 this year is the 16th "National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day" and the 114th "International Nurses Day", in order to promote the popularization of first aid skills, on the same day, sponsored by the Guanshanhu District Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, Guanshanhu District Red Cross Society, Guanshanhu District Library, Guanshanhu District Public Aid Red Cross Volunteer Service Center, Guanshanhu District New Era Civilization Practice Center Volunteer Service Corps to undertake the "Reading Guanshanhu Guanshanhu Guanxiaotu Academy - Protecting Life from First Aid" activity was carried out in Guanshanhu District Library.
This activity is carried out in the form of "reading + practice". During the event, Chinese Red Cross ambulance trainers guided participants to learn first aid knowledge through reading through the first aid manual in the Guanshanhu District Library. Under the guidance of the ambulance trainers, many children practiced hands-on with medical tools and learned common first-aid skills such as airway foreign body obstruction, burns, hemostasis and bandaging.
"From book knowledge to practical operation, it is very necessary for us to learn first aid skills, so that we can use the knowledge and skills we have learned to help ourselves and each other in the face of emergencies." After participating in the actual operation, many citizens praised it.
On the same day, the Guanshanhu District Library also specially selected books related to first-aid science popularization, disaster prevention and mitigation for on-site display, so as to improve the public's awareness of disaster prevention and mitigation. The relevant person in charge of Guanshanhu District Library said that in the future, the library will continue to pay attention to first aid education, and use books as a carrier to play the role of the library in social education and promote the popularization of first aid knowledge and skills.
