In order to further popularize the knowledge and skills of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, improve the ability of all teachers and students to avoid danger, ensure that they can evacuate and save themselves quickly, orderly and safely when the earthquake comes, and prevent disasters and accidents. On the morning of May 13, 2024, the kindergarten of Zhufo'an Town, Huoshan County, carried out an emergency drill for earthquake prevention and disaster reduction.
In order to ensure the effective conduct of the drill, a theme meeting was held before the drill to clarify the significance of the drill, reasonably arrange the personnel standing and evacuation routes on each floor, explain the drill process, and put forward relevant requirements and precautions.
According to the age characteristics of the children, the teachers of each class guide the children to understand the relevant knowledge of the earthquake through various forms such as videos, pictures, and scenario simulations, and master the correct emergency avoidance methods and escape skills.
After the alarm sounded, the teachers of each class organized the children to quickly bend down and bow their heads, use their hands to protect their heads, and evacuate to the safety of the outdoor playground quickly and orderly along the predetermined route. After arriving at the safe area, the teachers of each class immediately counted the number of children and reported to ensure that all children in the kindergarten were safely evacuated to the designated place.
Through this evacuation drill, the ability of all teachers and students to avoid earthquakes and self-rescue and self-protection has been improved.
