The Sanya Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for lightning at 15:00 on May 13, 2024: Affected by strong convective clouds, thunder and lightning activities may occur in Jiyang District and Haitang District of Sanya City within 2 hours, which may cause lightning disasters.

1. The government and relevant departments should do a good job of lightning and wind protection in accordance with their duties;
2. Pay close attention to the weather and avoid outdoor activities as much as possible;
3. Tighten the doors and windows, hoardings, scaffolding, temporary structures and other structures that are easy to be blown by the wind, and personnel should leave the temporary structures as soon as possible and properly place outdoor items that are easily affected by thunderstorms and winds.
