He Jiansheng, whose real name is He Yuerong, was born in Lianping County, northeastern Guangdong Province, a place full of natural beauty and Hakka culture in the mountainous area of northeastern Guangdong.
When he was a child, he was intelligent, lively, and ambitious, and when he was a little older, he was admitted to Guangdong Lianping County Normal School with excellent results.
In 1928, 19-year-old He Jiansheng graduated from Lianping County Normal School in Guangdong Province with excellent grades.
In 1929, He Jiansheng, who joined the army, was first trained in the Guangdong Military Police Training Team, and after the training, he was assigned to the Guangdong Military Police Corps as an acting platoon commander.
Subsequently, under the influence of Mr. Sun Yat-sen's idea of "saving the country by aviation", he joined the Guangdong Air Force without hesitation, and with his outstanding performance, he served as a second lieutenant critter of the 4th bombardment team.
At the same time, in view of He Jiansheng's outstanding performance in the Guangdong Air Force, he was arranged by his unit to go to the Central Aviation School of the Kuomintang Air Force in Jianqiao, Hangzhou for training. A few months later, at the end of his training, he was assigned to the 9th Brigade of the Kuomintang Air Force.
In July 1937, after the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, He Jiansheng followed the 8th Air Force Brigade to participate in the war against Japan, and on August 2, 1937, on the eve of the start of the Battle of Songhu, He Jiansheng was ordered to fly three German-made bombers with several Air Force soldiers of the 8th Brigade to bomb the Japanese Command, which was a favorable blow to the arrogance of the Japanese invaders, and also inspired the confidence and determination of the Chinese military and civilian resistance against the war.
After the end of this air raid against the Japanese army, He Jiansheng and the air force soldiers of the 8th Brigade who participated in the air raid received commendations.
On August 13, 1937, after the Battle of Songhu began, He Jiansheng and the air force soldiers of the 8th Brigade bombed the Japanese warships and barracks, inflicting heavy losses on the Japanese army.
After the Battle of Songhu, He Jiansheng piloted a fighter plane and successively participated in the battles against Japan in Nanhengyang, Changsha, Yichang, Hubei and other places. After the war, He Jiansheng, who made great achievements in war, was awarded the second-class Xuanwei Medal.
In the autumn of 1940, He Jiansheng and his air force brigade were ordered to go north and participated in the mission of bombing the Japanese airfield in Yuncheng, Shanxi.
In this air battle of life and death, He Jiansheng was unfortunately shot and wounded in the back, but he still endured severe pain, used skillful piloting skills, got rid of the Japanese fighters, and returned to the air base smoothly, when they arrived at the air base, the air force staff on the ground were shocked to find that after He Jiansheng was shot and wounded, the blood had stained the entire cockpit of the fighter plane, and this scene made the air force personnel present respect He Jiansheng.
After this battle, because He Jiansheng fought bravely in the battle against Japan and achieved remarkable results, he was promoted to captain because of his heroic battles.
On January 24, 1942, Ho Kin-sang and his Air Force Brigade were ordered to cooperate with Chennault's Flying Tigers to bomb the Gia Lam Riko Airport in Hanoi, Vietnam. After the successful completion of the bombing mission, on the way back from the bombing mission, he encountered intensive artillery fire from the Japanese air defense forces, and the fighter plane he was riding was damaged.
However, what He Jiansheng never expected was that after he parachuted, he was captured by the local Japanese military police, and after the Japanese military police captured him, he was imprisoned for a period of time, and then extradited him to the Nanjing Wang puppet government, and the Nanjing Wang puppet government knew that He Jiansheng was a rare talent, so they coerced him, and He Jiansheng chose to temporarily "forbear" and "compromise" in order to continue to resist Japan and save the country in the future, and served as a major instructor in the Wang puppet air force.
Although He Jiansheng held an important position in Wang's puppet air force, he was never used by Wang's puppet government, but waited for the opportunity and prepared to escape from Wang's puppet government in a fighter plane.
In August 1945, after Japan declared defeat, He Jiansheng saw that the time was ripe, so under the guidance of underground party members of the Communist Party of China, he organized and planned the uprising of the "Jianguo" plane of Wang's puppet government plane, and helped the plane to fly to Yan'an smoothly.
After successfully completing this uprising, He Jiansheng and his wife also arrived safely and smoothly in the liberated areas under the support of the underground party of the Communist Party of China, and then joined the New Fourth Army and became a soldier of the New Fourth Army.
In October 1945, He Jiansheng was appointed by his superiors to go north to the Northeast to prepare for the establishment of an aviation school.
After the establishment of the Northeast Democratic Alliance Army Aviation School, He Jiansheng served as the director of the training department and trained a large number of pilots for our army.
After the beginning of the War of Liberation, He Jiansheng made many practical and personal contributions to the air force operations of the East China Military Region, and after the founding of New China, in view of He Jiansheng's personal contributions to the development of the New China Air Force, he was not only awarded the Liberation Medal of the third class, but also the rank of captain.
On April 18, 1991, during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, this air force combat hero who bravely killed the enemy in order to save the nation from peril and made many meritorious contributions, completed his legendary life in Beijing at the age of 82.
