Mo Dao mulberry night, for the sun is still full of sky. In the context of the Shenzhen Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as "Shenzhen-Shantou") to deploy high-quality medical resources and promote the diversified development of social medical services, Wang Li, an expert in traditional Chinese medicine orthopedics, set out to Shenzhen to start a business again in the year of Huajia, and interpreted the entrepreneurial passion of Shenzhen people with his own actions - age is not a limit, as long as the passion for struggle continues, every year is a "year of fighting", and everyone may become a "city hero".

First venture: Rooted in Shenzhen and deeply engaged in orthopedic medical care

"Shenzhen is a great place to start a business! When I first arrived, I felt like paradise. Shenzhen people are busy with work, neck, shoulder, waist and leg diseases are frequent, and there is a great need for medical technicians, so I tried to find a way to take root and start a business here. This year, 65-year-old Wang Li is energetic and energetic, and when he talks about medical entrepreneurship, he opens the conversation.

Born in Heilongjiang, Wang Li was influenced by his family since he was a child and aspired to pursue a career in traditional Chinese medicine. After graduating from Heilongjiang Provincial College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, he worked in the local area to treat orthopedics and injuries with traditional Chinese medicine, accumulating rich experience in treatment.

Wang Li's wife, Zhang Qiuxia, is also a Chinese medicine practitioner. Wang Li is good at orthopedic massage, and Zhang Qiuxia is good at acupuncture, and they have gradually explored a unique set of traditional Chinese medicine orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.

In 2014, Mr. and Mrs. Wang Li, who are over 50 years old, founded Shenzhen Kangshun Traditional Chinese Medicine Outpatient Department to help patients treat neck, shoulder, waist and leg diseases and treat incurable orthopedic diseases with pure Chinese medicine massage, acupuncture and other means. In the past 10 years, the outpatient department has continued to develop with a good reputation, and now there are more than 100 medical staff, and there is an endless stream of patients who come to see patients every day.

Wang Li taught medical skills to the team.

In 2015, a couple brought their daughter to seek medical treatment. The little girl was born with a birth defect and could not walk until she was 6 years old. Wang Li was deeply impressed by this case - "After half a year of treatment, the little girl was able to stand up and walk alone, and her father burst into tears. Every bit of progress of a child carries the hope of a family! ”

"Children with cerebral palsy and autism generally have limb problems, such as scoliosis, spasms of the hands and feet, etc., and osteopathy is my old job." With the increase in the number of families of special children coming to seek medical treatment, Wang Li and his wife researched and formulated a special rehabilitation treatment plan, and established the Yongle Special Children Rehabilitation Center next to the original outpatient department.

Walking into the Yongle Special Children Rehabilitation Center, you can see that the medical staff are patiently helping the children with special needs to carry out targeted rehabilitation treatment: some help the children do massage and massage, orthopedic chiropractic, some lead the children to do manual work, exercise their physical mobility, and some borrow professional sports equipment to help the children recover their athletic ability......

At the same time, Wang Li actively contributed to charity, and led Yongle Special Children Rehabilitation Center to participate in a number of public welfare projects of Bao'an District Charity Association, Civil Affairs Bureau and other units. The institution has become a third-level designated institution for rehabilitation services for the disabled in Shenzhen and a designated institution for rehabilitation services for the disabled in Bao'an District.

Affinity with Shenshan: The sixtieth doctor set off to start a business again

"At that time, the Shenshan outpatient department of Peking University Shenzhen Hospital had not yet been opened, and there were only four township health centers in the local area, and the medical and health conditions and health security links were relatively weak." This is Wang Li's impression of the medical conditions in Shenshan at that time.

Wang Li's relationship with Shenshan originated 6 years ago. At that time, he was introduced by a friend to volunteer for the construction of Shenshan to treat neck, chest, waist and leg pain and other diseases.

Today, after rapid development, the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone has transformed from a new industrial city with an actual population of less than 60,000 to a new industrial city with an actual population of 140,000, and the accumulation of resource elements such as leading industries, major projects, and high-end talents has accelerated.

In order to quickly make up for the shortcomings of local township medical care, Shenzhen-Shantou has deployed high-quality medical resources. In 2023, Shenzhen-Shantou successfully obtained the account and key of the "National Medical Institution Registration Network Management System", opened up the approval path of medical institutions, solved the dual dilemma of replacing the certificate of medical institutions in the jurisdiction and the access of new medical institutions, promoted the diversified development of social medical institutions, and further optimized the business environment.

Wang Li treats patients.

In this year, Wang Li, who was over the age of six, saw the prospect of the development of Shenzhen-Shantou medical treatment, and actively responded to the government's call to "promote the diversified development of social medical services", and opened Shenzhen Kang Ruixin Traditional Chinese Medicine Physiotherapy Center on the left side of the gate of Shenshanxi Cultural and Sports Center in Ebu Town, Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone, and began to start a business again.

"It is false to say that there has been no entanglement, after all, there are certain risks in the operation and economic benefits of the clinic." When they first arrived, Wang Li and his wife encountered the problem of time and space when they started their business: "The distance is relatively long, and every time I go to the clinic or visit the store, I spend a long time on the road, and I hope to find more time for diagnosis and treatment and business management in the future." At present, the outpatient department has not been open for a long time and has not yet achieved profitability. But I believe that with the development of Shenzhen, everything will get better and better. ”

Looking forward to the future: full of confidence in the development of Shenzhen

After starting a business in Shenzhen, Wang Li's vision was not limited to the world of the clinic.

"I remember the first time I held a voluntary medical lecture in Shenzhen, the topic was the prevention and treatment of neck, chest, back and leg pain, and more than 80 people came. I had a good consultation and gave my diagnosis on the spot. For these common diseases, I hope that I will not only treat them, but also teach them about prevention. During his time in Shenzhen, Wang Li went to residential communities and towns many times to conduct free clinics, provide free medical services to residents, and impart knowledge on the prevention of common diseases.

"Patients have symptoms of chest tightness and shortness of breath, arrhythmia and premature nervous contractions may occur in severe cases, but the ECG cannot detect the problem, so it is necessary to check whether there is thoracic spondylosis...... Wang Li also shared and imparted his medical knowledge, and imparted the theoretical knowledge and clinical experience of traditional Chinese medicine to the medical staff of the Shenshan medical system and various township health centers.

"There is a folk saying: 'The older the old Chinese medicine practitioner, the more valuable it is.'" On this path of healing, I did not set a deadline for myself. Wang Li said that he did not think about when he would retire and enjoy his old age, because there were still many things waiting for him to do.

"Now the development of Shenzhen-Shantou is getting faster and faster, especially some large enterprises such as BYD have settled in, and we can see a lot of new changes every time we go in the past. We believe that with the growth of population, the medical needs of local people will become greater and greater, and we will continue to expand related businesses and strive to serve the people's livelihood and development in Shenzhen. Speaking of the future development in Shenzhen, Wang Li is full of confidence.
