The US State Department recently released a report assessing Israel's action in Gaza.
Israel's use of U.S.-supplied weapons in the Gaza Strip may have violated international humanitarian law, the report said, but "wartime conditions make it difficult for the U.S. to establish this in the context of specific air strikes."
The report also mentions that the United States Government has not been able to link specific United States weapons to individual Israeli attacks in Gaza.

Li Zixin, an assistant researcher at the China Institute of International Studies, analyzed in an interview with a reporter from China Central Radio and Television's Global Information Broadcast that the United States has used many vague statements: on the one hand, it is under the tremendous pressure of the international community that the United States wants to maintain its own image; On the other hand, the United States does not want to blame Israel too much and wants to maintain its alliance.
The current Israeli military campaign in Gaza has resulted in heavy civilian casualties and a humanitarian crisis rarely seen in recent years, a fact that cannot be denied by either side. As a result, the international community's discontent with Israel has increased dramatically.
The US official said in the relevant report that if it completely defends Israel, it will undoubtedly cause some damage to its own national image and credibility. Therefore, the United States had to show doubts about Israel's actions.
The United States used words such as "maybe" and "unclear" in the report in order to minimize the intensity of its accusations against Israel.

Li Zixin further pointed out that the report's evasion of linking military actions with specific US weapons reflects the "double standard" of the United States.
The war in Gaza has dragged on for more than half a year, and both Israel and the United States know very well how many US weapons the Israeli army has used in relevant operations.
In particular, in the past six months, the United States' arms supply to Israel has been highly targeted and highly correlated with the specific needs of Israel's military operations in the Gaza Strip.
