On the occasion of Mother's Day, the Minister of State for the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, the Mayor of the Southwest Region and the Grassroots Organisation Advisor of Bukit Gambai, Ms. Liu Yanling, the President of Bank of China Singapore Branch, Shi Wei (proposed), and more than 30 BOC volunteers visited the Bukit Gamper Belvedere community to send warm holiday wishes to more than 200 mother residents.
Minister Liu Yanling presented Mother's Day gifts to the mothers in the community and greeted them cordially.
"Mother's Day is a special day and we would like to thank all mothers for their hard work. Wishing you all good health and happy holidays! Accompanied by warm music, Minister Liu Yanling interacted with the residents warmly in her speech, sent holiday blessings to the mothers present, and wished the country a peaceful and prosperous country. At the event, President Shi Wei (proposed) presented a cheque to the Community Welfare Fund on behalf of Bank of China Singapore Branch to provide love guarantee for the smooth progress of the event. Minister Liu Yanling presented a letter of appreciation to President Shi Wei (proposed) and spoke highly of Bank of China Singapore Branch's active participation in public welfare undertakings in her speech. She said that as a socially responsible enterprise, Bank of China Singapore Branch has made positive contributions to the local economic and social development, and provided strong support for the smooth development of the Mother's Day event. Although it rained heavily, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the residents to participate in the event. Mothers include young mothers with their babies in their arms, elderly people with toddlers, and people with reduced mobility who come in wheelchairs...... With the help of volunteers, everyone entered and sat down in an orderly manner, had lunch together, and blessed each other.
