Case 1
At 6 a.m. on June 5, 2023, in Huangping County, Qiandongnan, Guizhou, heavy rainfall caused a mother and daughter to be trapped at home. It is understood that after the heavy rainfall began, the rainwater gathered in the mountains and flowed down into streams, flowing through the floor where the trapped people were located, and poured into it.
Case 2
On July 23, 2023, affected by heavy rainfall, houses were flooded and people were trapped in Fengquan Village, Penggao Town, Economic Development Zone, Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province. When rescuers arrived at the scene, the entire village was already a "sea of water", with the deepest part of the water more than a meter deep. Rescuers immediately set up a cordon at the scene, carried life-saving equipment, and used assault boats to enter the village to search and rescue the trapped people.
It is understood that a total of 12 households in Fengquan Village were trapped due to the rainfall, of which 3 were seriously affected and their houses were flooded. After two hours of emergency rescue, more than 40 trapped villagers were all moved to safe locations.
