A group of "invisible warriors" silently guard the last line of defense for medical safety. Although their work is little known, every contribution is directly related to the safety of patients' lives and the quality of medical care.
The disinfection supply center, this seemingly inconspicuous department, is the "heart" of the hospital. Every day, it is busy with sterile instruments, dressings and supplies for all departments of the hospital. The "invisible warriors" here shoulder the important task of cleaning, disinfection and sterilization, providing a strong guarantee for the normal operation of the hospital.
Recycling, sorting, cleaning, disinfection, drying, inspection and maintenance, packaging, sterilization, storage and distribution, every link needs to be strictly controlled, and there can be no mistakes. These "invisible warriors" wear heavy protective suits, endure heat and noise, and meticulously complete every job. Their hands, though rough ground by gloves, are more delicate and sensitive than anyone else's.
(1) In the recycling process, the used equipment and articles are stored in an airtight manner to avoid drying and contamination to ensure that they are properly disposed of in the first time.
(2) In the process of classification and cleaning, the staff needs to wear non-breathable waterproof protective clothing and continue to work for several hours to fully soak, brush and clean the equipment to ensure that the stains, blood stains and bacteria on the surface of the instrument are effectively removed.
(3) In the disinfection and drying process, special tools are used to carry out advanced treatment of the instrument to completely eliminate the germs that may exist. It's a challenging and arduous process, but the "invisible warriors" here always maintain a high level of responsibility and patience in order to ensure that patients can safely use strictly sterilized instruments.
(4) Inspect the maintenance and packaging links, they will carefully inspect and maintain each piece of equipment to ensure that its performance is good, safe and reliable. At the same time, they also carry out strict quantity and quality checks on the device to ensure that it is correct before sealing it. Each instrument bag has a unique "ID card", which is automatically entered and generated by the system to generate a unique traceability barcode, so that the source and use of each device can be traced.
(5) The sterilization process is the top priority, and they need to strictly control the temperature, pressure and time parameters of the sterilizer to ensure that each instrument can meet the sterility standard. Although the process is complex and tedious, the "invisible warriors" are never sloppy, because they know that if they make a mistake, they can cause irreparable losses to patients.
(6) Finally, in the sterile goods storage and distribution area, the "invisible warriors" will check the validity and packaging integrity of the sterile items again to ensure that each item can be safely and accurately delivered to the medical staff.
