Something happened to a well-known mall in Toronto! The Chinese witnessed the police arresting people up close, and blood was splashed all over the ground!

Another unbridled jewellery store robbery at Square One in Mississauga. This is the latest in a series of disturbing smash-and-ramp cases that have occurred in the Toronto area since last year.

Peel Police spokesman Tyler Bell confirmed that around 9pm, officers patrolling on foot and the mall intercepted an ongoing robbery.

"Multiple suspects entered a jewellery store with hammers and smashed display cases in an attempt to steal jewellery," he said. "

"When the suspects tried to escape, they were intercepted by police and security guards, and the three have been detained."

In addition to the arrest of three suspects under the age of 18 at the scene, police also seized a car.

Police added that one or more suspects may be at large.

Another Chinese shopper witnessed the arrest up close, and there were still some blood stains on the ground. It is not clear who was injured.

According to Peel District Police, six unidentified suspects armed with hammers entered the Charm Diamond Centre jewellery store inside the mall at around 7.55pm on Thursday (May 9) before fleeing the scene.

Police said no one was injured during the robbery. The case is still under investigation.
