According to the evidence collected from the Jinyuan Brigade of the Traffic Police Detachment of the Taiyuan Municipal Public Security Bureau and the photos taken by the Jinyuan District People's Procuratorate during the investigation and visit, in March 2024 alone, there were 3 traffic accidents caused by road potholes, including 1 on Zhenguan Street and 2 on Qianyang Street, which have seriously threatened the life, health and property safety of the people.
In order to eliminate potential road traffic safety hazards in a timely manner, the Jinyuan District People's Procuratorate initiated pre-litigation procedures for public interest litigation, formulated and issued procuratorial recommendations to the relevant administrative organs, and urged them to maintain the above-mentioned roads in accordance with the relevant technical specifications and operating procedures in accordance with the relevant regulations, so as to ensure that the roads are always in good technical and accessible condition.
The administrative organs actively performed their duties, contacted relevant units to clean up the more seriously damaged pavement and re-poured, invested a total of more than 120,000 yuan, repaired 87 damaged roads, about 240 square meters, and did a good job of road traffic safety warnings, which greatly guaranteed the travel safety of the people.
