May 12 this year is the 16th National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day in mainland China, with the theme of "Everyone Stresses Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond to Emergencies - Strive to Improve Grassroots Disaster Prevention and Risk Avoidance Capabilities". In order to improve the emergency avoidance ability of the whole kindergarten staff and children in dense places, further deepen the awareness of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction of teachers and children in the whole park, and ensure that teachers and children implement earthquake emergency work quickly, orderly and efficiently after the earthquake forecast is released or the earthquake occurs, the kindergarten of Gaoping District of Nanchong City has carried out a series of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction safety activities.
1. Safety knowledge lectures
On the afternoon of May 10th, the kindergarten of Gaoping District carried out a knowledge lecture on "5.12 Earthquake Prevention and Disaster Reduction, You and I Walk Together", and parents came as scheduled and signed in in an orderly manner according to the teacher's guidance.
Spread the word and create an atmosphere
Xiao Lujia, chairman of the trade union of the kindergarten of the organ, explained the importance of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction to parents from several aspects, such as earthquake-related knowledge, earthquake escape principles, earthquake self-rescue knowledge, and family earthquake preparedness. 2. Safety evacuation drills
On the morning of May 11, the kindergarten of Gaoping District organized an emergency evacuation drill of "earthquake prevention and disaster reduction" to comprehensively promote the in-depth development of safety education activities for all teachers and children.

Before the drill begins, the teachers of each class let the children understand the natural disaster of the earthquake through safety classes such as scenario drills, video playback, and action demonstrations, learn simple self-rescue measures, and help children familiarize, learn, and practice emergency shock avoidance and safe evacuation methods, so as to improve their awareness and ability of safety protection.
Earthquake drills to improve capacity
When the first alarm sounded, the earthquake emergency evacuation drill officially began, and the teachers of each class quickly guided the children to avoid the safety triangle area under the table and the corner of the load-bearing wall as quickly as possible, and held their heads with their hands, curled up their bodies, lowered their body center of gravity, and protected their heads as much as possible.
After the second alarm sounded, each class formed a single column in small groups according to the designated route, and the teacher led the children to evacuate to the playground in an orderly manner.
After arriving at the safe area, the teachers of each class quickly counted the number of people to ensure that there were no injuries and all were present, and immediately reported the evacuation situation. The whole exercise process was fast, safe and orderly.

After the drill, Xiao Lujia, chairman of the safety trade union, summarized the drill, and the whole drill process was fast and orderly, without any collision and stampede, and achieved the expected results.
