Deployment meeting to develop a plan
In order to effectively carry out the evacuation drill for earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, the school held an emergency drill work meeting, specially deployed the relevant matters of the emergency evacuation drill activities, and formulated a detailed and practical drill plan. Before the event, the school and each class publicized the relevant knowledge of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction to teachers and students, so that teachers and students could clarify the methods of emergency evacuation and evacuation in the event of a sudden earthquake, and all teachers and students fully realized the purpose and significance of the earthquake emergency evacuation drill, which provided a strong guarantee for the smooth development of the earthquake emergency evacuation drill.
Earthquake avoidance and evacuation drills
At 8:15 a.m., all the safety post teachers arrived at the designated location, and at 8:20, the evacuation alarm suddenly sounded, and the students protected their heads and necks as required and squatted under the desks to avoid danger. After 60 seconds, the evacuation alarm sounded, and the students quickly left the classroom in turn under the command of the teacher, quickly lined up in the corridor, bent over, protected their heads, and evacuated to the assembly area in an orderly manner according to the designated route. The whole exercise process was well organized, the evacuation was rapid, tense and not panicked, and it took 2 minutes and 14 seconds.
Summary of the drill
Principal Yong pointed out the existing problems and areas for improvement in this drill, and combined with the case of no casualties in Sangzao Middle School in the Wenchuan earthquake, the teachers and students of the school realized the importance and necessity of the earthquake drill.
The drill of this activity was carried out smoothly according to the plan, and the whole exercise process was tense and orderly. Through the drill activities, the safety awareness of teachers and students was further enhanced, and the basic methods of how to quickly escape, self-rescue, and mutual rescue in a crisis were truly mastered, and the ability to resist and respond to emergencies was improved, and the entire drill achieved the expected purpose.
