2024 marks the 120th anniversary of the founding of the Red Cross Society of China, and in order to further promote the spirit of the Red Cross, Tianlin Sub-district of Xuhui District, together with forces from all walks of life, will hold a series of themed activities to commemorate the 77th World Red Cross Day and "Red Cross Fraternity Week" at the Qianhe Party and Mass Service Center and Neighborhood Hui.
At the event, more than 200 community residents, Red Cross volunteers and volunteers in the medical and health fields gathered together to interpret the Red Cross spirit of "humanity, fraternity and dedication" with practical actions. Volunteers from the Red Cross Society of Tianlin Street brought zero-based emergency rescue training to the residents, and the residents experienced the CPR operation skills on the spot, teaching and learning in fun. With the help of the digital platform, the volunteers of the Red Cross Society of Tianlin Street organized online and offline public welfare donations, and all the funds raised will be injected into the "Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation Relief Project" and the "Ten Thousand People Help Ten Thousand Families Project" in Xuhui District, helping to rekindle hope for the light of life.
Medical staff from Tianlin Community Health Service Center, Aier Ophthalmology, Wanzhong Hospital and Renai Hospital carried out free clinics on the spot, providing medical consulting services such as vision testing, blood pressure measurement, and traditional Chinese medicine massage. In addition, the event also provided consulting services such as body (cornea) donation, organ voluntary donation, hematopoietic stem cell donation, etc., and disabled volunteers from Tianlin Street Charity Supermarket provided convenient maintenance services for residents on site.
During the "Red Cross Fraternity Week", Tianlin Street will also deepen publicity and education in a variety of forms, and widely disseminate the Red Cross concept through media means such as posters and special promotional videos. We have planned the "Channel of Life" visit activities, and carried out a series of public welfare activities such as free blood pressure monitor testing services and professional nursing knowledge popularization lectures, so as to further promote the Red Cross spirit in the hearts of the people.
