On the afternoon of May 10, the 2024 Hongkou District Red Cross Fraternity Week theme event and the launching ceremony of the Xiamen International Bank Red Cross Service Station were held.

At the launching ceremony, the Red Cross Service Station of Xiamen International Bank was officially unveiled. The service station is located in the business hall of the bank at No. 88 Yangshupu Road, and is the first Red Cross service station in Hongkou to be located in a building enterprise. The service station is equipped with first-aid equipment and supplies, and has a Red Cross emergency ambulance training classroom and a Red Cross cultural promotion corner. According to the relevant person in charge of Xiamen International Bank Shanghai Branch, the original reception area on the first floor of the bank's business hall has been renovated, and first aid equipment and supplies such as AEDs have been placed, which has strengthened the construction of emergency response capabilities and compacted the responsibility of protecting the health of the masses to every corner of the bank. It is understood that Xiamen International Bank Shanghai Branch has organized employees to participate in the certification training of Red Cross junior ambulance personnel for many times, and plans to participate in the training of all grassroots branch employees in the future.

In April this year, with the opening of the 4A scenic ambulance station of the North Bund International Passenger Center, AED first-aid equipment and other public service facilities at the North Bund Binjiang District and Street levels have been fully covered. During the Fraternity Week, seven locations, including Xiamen International Bank, North Bund Binjiang Station, and North Bund International Passenger Service Center, were further upgraded to North Bund Red Cross Service Stations, providing tourists and citizens with richer and warmer Red Cross services.
The event presented awards to the collectives and individuals of the Red Cross Society of Hongkou District who won the 2023 annual commendation. The private Xinhua Junior High School, the Northern Suburbs School, and the First Central Primary School of Hongkou District were awarded the Red Cross Characteristic School. The children from the three schools presented the Red Cross spirit of "humanity, fraternity and dedication" through poetry recitals, melodramas and first aid skills demonstrations.

After the launching ceremony, Red Cross volunteers and some citizens set off from the Red Cross Service Station of Xiamen International Bank, freely choose their routes, and go to the Red Cross Service Stations to carry out search and check-in activities. The "red dolls" of different shapes are cute and cute, greeting the citizens who come to check in at the door. The staff set up a check-in desk in front of the post station to introduce the knowledge of emergency rescue to the check-in and tourists, and popularize hematopoietic stem cell donation. Many citizens who played in the riverside green space of the North Bund were attracted by the first-aid model and learned first-aid skills under the guidance of the staff.

It is reported that all Red Cross service stations are equipped with AEDs, blood pressure monitors, first-aid kits, Red Cross cultural publicity materials, books, materials, etc., which effectively enhance the ability of the North Bund regional tourist attractions to deal with sudden accidents, improve the level of emergency rescue and the self-help and mutual rescue awareness of tourists and citizens, and ensure the safety of people's lives.

In 2023, the Red Cross Society of Hongkou District will organize and complete various emergency rescues, train more than 23,000 people, and provide humanitarian assistance to more than 1,500 people in need. Following Liangcheng Xincun Street and Sichuan North Road Street, Guangzhong Road Street and Jiangwan Town Street have also been successfully established as Shanghai Red Cross Fraternity Home Street Town. Red Cross humanitarian services are more deeply rooted in communities, hearts and minds. This year, in conjunction with the 2024 Shanghai Municipal Practical Project "Training 80,000 Licensed Emergency Ambulances", Hongkou District will train more and better ambulances around the masses, support the "protective umbrella" of life around them, spread the spirit of the Red Cross, and make the Red Cross a warm force to promote the economic and social development of Hongkou.
