Recently, Chery Fengyun New Energy officially announced that a total of 30,026 orders for the Fengyun T9 model were placed in 18 days, combined with the previous crowdfunding price reduction activities, the pre-sale price was reduced by 20,000 yuan, and the starting price was reduced from 159,900 to 139,900 yuan.
According to the latest pre-sale rights officially announced, the order of 9.9 yuan will exceed 40,000 total crowdfunding orders, and the pre-sale price will be reduced by another 5,000 yuan. Combined with previous reports, the car will be officially launched on May 21, and there is a long enough pre-sale cycle, and the final 134,900 sales should not be a big problem.
Looking back at the exterior design of the car, the front of the car outlines the grille outline with two curved decorative strips, the upper part is a closed panel inlaid with the Fengyun logo, and the lower part is a straight waterfall type hollow net, which has a bit of a borderless grille visual effect. The front of the car is flanked by flat and compact headlight clusters, and the three-section light arches with blacked-out headlights look quite sharp. The lower fog lamp area has a black T-shaped decoration in the air intake, with a black trapezoidal lower grille, which enhances the layering of the entire front face.
The side of the body has a high degree of originality, with a slightly downward pressed roofline, forming a floating layout on the D-pillar, and incorporating a special texture to emphasize the identity of new energy vehicles. Straight windows, a simple and powerful waistline, concealed door handles and large, close-spoke wheels combine sportiness and style. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the car are 4795/1930/1738 (1741) mm, the wheelbase is 2770mm, and it is available with five or seven seats.
At the rear, the protruding trunk line corresponds to the roof spoiler, and the continuous tail light clusters resemble those of the Tiggo 9, which are lit up to form a two-layer linear light source. The rear bumper is decorated with a large area of black and embellished with red reflective strips, reflecting a good sense of hierarchy.
The interior part adopts dual large-size floating LCD screens, with HUD head-up display to form a three-screen system, which is also the most popular interior design at present. The three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel adopts a black and white color-block design, and the front end of the armrest box is designed with physical buttons and knobs, with a wireless charging panel and an open cup holder, which generally has a high sense of class.
In terms of power, it is equipped with a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system, in which the maximum power of the engine is 115 kW and the maximum torque is 220 Nm, the maximum power of the electric motor is 150kW and the maximum torque is 310Nm, and the transmission system adopts a single-speed DHT gearbox. It is matched with a 19.43kWh ternary lithium battery pack, with a pure electric range of 100km and a fuel consumption of 5.2L/100km under WLTC mode.
Judging from the current pre-sale situation, Fengyun T9 has the potential to become a big hit, but there is more or less moisture in pre-sale crowdfunding, and how many orders can be converted into real sales in the end remains to be verified by the market, and we will wait and see how it will perform in the future.
