On September 24th, the 2021 Chengdu European Culture Season's "Spain - European Heritage Protection Award - Our Europe" exhibition was opened in Chengdu Qingyang District Shaocheng Shijing Cultural and Creative Industrial Park.
Spain is the country that has received the most European Heritage Preservation Awards, and through the exhibitions, from the Merida Theater and the Alhambra to the pictures of Gaudí's Park Güell, the audience can not only appreciate the architectural styles and cultural characteristics of Spain's different historical periods, but also gain an insight into Spain's efforts to protect its cultural heritage.
According to Lopez, Consul General of Spain in Chengdu, the exhibition brings together 206 cultural heritage conservation projects that won the "Our Europe" Heritage Conservation Prize in Spain from 1976 to 2020. The protection of cities, factories, civil, military or religious buildings forms the main content of this exhibition, aiming to show the quality and richness of Spain's cultural heritage, which defines Spain and has also achieved countless cultural heritage.
The exhibition "Spain – European Heritage Award – Our Europe" will run until 24 October in The Qingyang District. This exhibition will enhance the discussion and exchange between Chengdu and Spain on the protection of cultural heritage, promote understanding and tolerance between different cultures, and use culture as a link to further deepen all-round and multi-field cooperation between Chengdu and Spain.
