Miao Zaixin, born in 1953, is a native of Qixia, Shandong. Director of China Artists Association, member of the National Art Creation Committee of Major Themes of China Art Association, member of the Expert Steering Committee of National Theme Creation Projects of the Ministry of Culture, standing director of the Chinese Painting Society, researcher of the China National Academy of Painting, researcher of the Chinese Academy of Arts, member of the China Artists Association, researcher of the Calligraphy and Painting Institute of the Central Museum of Culture and History, librarian of the Beijing Museum of Culture and History, tutor of the advanced research class of the School of Art of Peking University, the School of Art of Chinese University and the National Academy of Painting of China, and a national first-class artist.
In the field of thematic figure painting constructed by realist techniques, Miao Zaixin is undoubtedly a representative ink painter.
