On May 11, the 2024 Life and Health Industry Overseas Experts Chang Parallel and Work Promotion Conference was held. At the meeting, the Beijing Changping District Life and Health Industry Overseas Service Center was officially established, and the center will accelerate the pace of globalization of the life and health industry through a high-level cross-border exchange platform, and inject new impetus into regional economic development.
At the event, Yang Weiwei, Director of the Life Science Division of Future Science City, introduced the relevant policies of the pharmaceutical and health industry in Changping District. She introduced that Changping District seized the opportunity of the construction of the "two zones" and took the lead in introducing the city's first pilot free trade zone pharmaceutical and health industry development policy, with nearly 100 million yuan in cash in 2022, and optimized and upgraded the Changping pharmaceutical and health industry policy version 2.0 last year, and put forward a number of reward standards for real money. There are corresponding policy supports in the research and development of new drugs, the introduction and implementation of innovative projects, and the support for innovative drugs and devices to go overseas. At the same time, Changping District has built a complete industrial service system to provide enterprises with innovation and entrepreneurship platforms and services. Yang Weiwei revealed that the park is also preparing to hold theme salons and activities for Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other markets to help innovative drugs and devices "go global".
Focusing on the problem of the life and health industry going overseas, the event arranged a number of solution promotions. The relevant departments of Changping District actively connect with relevant business associations and professional service organizations, focus on international cooperation and exchanges, jointly discuss the international development path of Changping's life and health industry, promote the industry to go overseas, and strengthen international cooperation. In the one-on-one negotiation session, experts from PricewaterhouseCoopers, Bank of China, China Merchants Bank and JunHe Law Firm focused on the needs of life and health enterprises going overseas, conducted one-on-one negotiations and service consultations between enterprises and professional service institutions, and helped the life and health industry "go global".
Based on the needs of enterprises, Changping District officially established the "Beijing Changping District Life and Health Industry Overseas Service Center". The service center was established by the People's Government of Changping District, Beijing, and jointly launched by PricewaterhouseCoopers, JunHe, Galaxy Securities, Bank of China, CBC Capital, China Merchants Bank, etc. The Changping District Government said that in the future, it will rely on the "Beijing Changping District Life and Health Overseas Service Center" to further promote the "Changping Service" brand and build an open, innovative and win-win industrial development environment. Through a high-level cross-border exchange platform, Changping District will accelerate the pace of globalization of the life and health industry and inject new impetus into regional economic development.
It is reported that in recent years, Changping has vigorously developed the pharmaceutical and health industry, accelerated the construction of the world's leading "Life Valley", accelerated the creation of a globally competitive pharmaceutical and health industry development highland, and formed a foundation for cross-border cooperation. There are more than 600 enterprises settled in the Life Science Park, which have obvious advantages in new drug development, cell and gene therapy, precision medical services and other subdivisions, forming a resource gathering of the whole industry chain of basic research, pilot research and development, production and circulation, and terminal medical treatment. Changping is also actively exploring the biomedical industry to go overseas and has made breakthroughs.
