The Singapore Auxiliary Police are off duty, shopping with guns and live ammunition?
Yesterday (May 9), an auxiliary police officer did not return his revolver and 10 live ammunition after completing his work, and after receiving the report, the police mobilized more than 100 police officers to launch a search operation.

It is reported that the 27-year-old auxiliary police officer did not return the revolver, bullets and batons after being on duty at Changi Airport and left the company.

Police were notified at 9:50 p.m. that more than 100 law enforcement officers from six different units, including the Criminal Investigation Bureau and the Special Operations Command Office, were rounded up island-wide to find him.
Police quickly determined his location by reviewing footage from surveillance cameras and surveillance footage.
Two and a half hours later, police found him at a shopping mall on Victoria Street in Bugis and arrested him. When the police found him, guns, bullets, and batons were in his carry-on bag. He didn't resist, and he didn't go to get his gun. During this "loitering", he did not shoot or cause any injuries to the public.
The police explained that the reason why no timely information was released that night was because they were worried that he would not know if he would be inspired to do anything after hearing the broadcast, and that the police were confident that they would be able to find him and handle the matter properly, so they did not issue an immediate announcement.
He will appear in court on Saturday (May 11) for illegal possession of a weapon and will receive psychological counselling before going to court. If convicted, he faces a minimum of five years and not more than 14 years in prison and up to six strokes of the cane.
