May 12 this year is the 16th National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day, with the theme of "Everyone Stresses Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond to Emergencies - Striving to Improve Grassroots Disaster Prevention and Risk Avoidance Capabilities", and May 11-17 is the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Awareness Week. Sponsored by the Department of News and Publicity of the Ministry of Emergency Management, undertaken by the China Internet News Center (China.com), and co-organized by the Yanggao County Party Committee and the County Government of Datong City, the online live broadcast program of the "National Safety Open Class" is scheduled to be broadcast live at 9 a.m. on May 12.
The online live broadcast program of "Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Science Popularization Special Activity - Sowing the Seeds of Safety" of the "National Safety Open Course" includes four chapters: exhibition, experience, practical training and summary, in which experts talk about disaster prevention and mitigation knowledge such as earthquakes, mudslides, landslides, heavy rains and floods, and students experience projects such as precise risk avoidance, interactive games of loving assistance and smoke escape. Some students came to the fire experience place of Yanggao County Fire and Rescue Brigade to visit and study, and learned a wealth of popular science knowledge under the leadership of the popular science explainer.
