On August 14th, China's first 100-level market-oriented hydrogen energy heavy truck transportation line - Easy Road Hydrogen Energy Heavy Truck Demonstration Line was put into operation in Baoding. It is reported that the scale of hydrogen energy heavy trucks put into operation by the demonstration line reaches 100 vehicles, which is equipped with a 100-kilowatt high-power fuel cell system completely independently developed by Great Wall Motor's Untax Energy.

Xie Peng, director of the Baoding Municipal Development and Reform Commission, said that in order to meet the demand for sand and gravel aggregates in Xiong'an New Area, it will plan to promote and operate 1,000 hydrogen fuel cell heavy trucks during the demonstration period from 2021 to 2024, of which 100 will be promoted in 2021 and gradually reach 1,000. At the same time, 6 to 10 hydrogen refueling stations will be built in the "easy line" to ensure the normal operation of hydrogen fuel cell heavy trucks. The first hydrogen refueling station adopts a refueling-refueling-hydrogenation three-mix mode, and the hydrogenation capacity is 1 ton/day. In 2022-2024, we will gradually explore the construction of refueling-refueling-refueling-charging-hydrogenation four-mixed stations, with a cumulative hydrogenation capacity of 40 tons/day.

Xie Peng said that the operation of 1,000 fuel cell heavy trucks can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 108,400 tons per year.

Steel mills in Tangshan, Handan and other regions are also actively using hydrogen energy smelting technology for transformation and upgrading, reducing carbon emissions and traditional energy consumption. It can be said that from hydrogen production to hydrogen energy utilization, Hebei Province has many advantageous resources, and the investment in the hydrogen energy industry chain also has a benign development path, and the future can be expected.
