It is one of the most difficult, total installed capacity and total investment projects in Pakistan. The Dasu hydropower station was built by China's Gezhouba Group No. 3 Engineering Co., Ltd. and has been under construction for many years.

On May 7, the Pakistani military held a press conference, at which the spokesman said that the main perpetrator of the terrorist attack was the Taliban group active in Pakistan's Cape province, but the real mastermind was a terrorist organization located in Afghanistan.

In the face of Pakistan's accusations, the Afghan interim government, formerly the Afghan Taliban, immediately refuted Pakistan's statement and emphasized that Afghanistan had assured the Chinese government that the terrorist attack was not planned by terrorists in Afghanistan.
In recent years, there have been a number of attacks in Pakistan against projects with Chinese involvement.

Judging from the number of attacks, there are two main groups of people who organized these attacks, one was the Bajiro Army, which was active in Bajiro province, and the other was the Pakistani Taliban, which was mainly active in Cape province.
Although the main locations of these two organizations are in Pakistan, they have a very strong foreign influence, and they both have made it their goal to attack the Pakistani government.
And because there are large-scale projects such as the Dasu hydropower station and the Gwadar port in the area, once completed, the Pakistani government's influence in the area will be greatly increased.
So in order to fight the Pakistani government, these symbolic projects have become their targets, and although we have increased security measures near the construction site after the attack, it is still a big problem for the security of the traffic line.
The reason why these terrorists put pressure on the Pakistani government by attacking foreigners is mainly to achieve three goals: first, they hope to force the government to make concessions in the encirclement and suppression of the Pakistani Taliban; Second, terrorist organizations are completely incapable of confronting the military head-on, so they can only expand their influence in this way and coerce the government to agree to their demands in some aspects; The third is to attract terrorists who have the same extreme ideology as himself through this kind of action, and increase his own strength.
