May 12, 2024 is the 16th National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day, in order to improve the emergency evacuation and avoidance ability of all teachers and students, and enhance the awareness of earthquake safety, at 10 a.m. on May 10, Tangjia Primary School carried out an emergency evacuation drill for earthquake prevention and disaster reduction.
Before the drill, after the class teachers had a detailed understanding of the drill plan, they let the students understand the hazards of the earthquake and the methods of emergency avoidance through courseware, videos, action demonstrations, etc., so as to help students master the skills of emergency escape.

With the issuance of the "earthquake alarm", the teachers of each class quickly stopped teaching, calmly waved the students to quickly hold their heads, close their eyes, hide under their desks or beside their desks, curl up as much as possible, lower the center of gravity of the body, and protect their heads with schoolbags or hands as much as possible. Immediately afterwards, the teacher immediately instructed the students to quickly evacuate to the predetermined location of each class according to the predetermined evacuation route. After hearing the second alarm, the squads quickly evacuated to a safe location. During the evacuation process, protect your head with both hands to prevent being injured by falling objects, arrive at the concentration site safely and orderly, and roll call the whole team.
Build a life safety line
Director Tang Zhilin summarized the drill, he popularized the emergency avoidance treatment methods for the students when earthquakes, fires and other disasters came, and emphasized that the earthquake evacuation drill is not only a check of the school's emergency management ability, but also a test of the emergency escape skills of teachers and students in the school. In the later stage, the school will continue to carry out earthquake evacuation drills and fire evacuation drills to enhance the safety awareness of teachers and students and improve students' self-protection and self-rescue capabilities.
