They always maintain a state of combat readiness, and with full enthusiasm and a sense of mission that time cannot wait, they make every effort to protect the people's "money bags".
The "power of youth" on the front line of anti-fraud
"They deserve this honor. If it weren't for this group of young people, my pension money would have been cheated away. "Grandma Han, a resident of Yangpu, Shanghai, went to the bank at the beginning of this year to transfer 1 million yuan to an unfamiliar account. When asked about the reason for the transfer, Grandma Han was very resistant. Worried that the old man would be deceived, the bank staff immediately called the police for help. After receiving the report, young policemen Zhang Yifu and Lou Jiaqian of the third team of the Criminal Investigation Detachment of the Yangpu Public Security Bureau immediately formed a "superimposed persuasion group" to dissuade Grandma Han. Lou Jiaqian patiently calmed the old man's emotions, while Zhang Yifu gradually exposed the tricks of the liars. After persisting in dissuasion for nearly 4 hours, Grandma Han finally woke up.
It turned out that at that time, Grandma Han suffered the latest "FaceTime" scam, and the other party pretended to be a police officer and asked Grandma Han to install screen sharing software to cooperate with the investigation on the grounds that Grandma Han was suspected of fraud. Subsequently, the scammer asked Grandma Han to transfer all the money in the bank card to the designated account for an "asset inventory". Fortunately, the police arrived in time to avoid property losses, and Grandma Han and her family were grateful for the timely dissuasion of the young team members.
The story of dissuading Grandma Han is just a microcosm of the "air competition" between the young policemen and the liars in the team. Since 2023, the three teams of the criminal investigation detachment have successfully met and dissuaded more than 500 high-risk potential victims, indirectly avoiding more than 2,500 yuan in property losses for the masses. Behind this set of data is the effectiveness of the young team members based on the front-end prevention and weaving of a dense early warning and dissuasion network.
The "hard-core responsibility" of the "post-90s" anti-fraud police
"We sorted out more than 100 pieces of information related to the case from tens of thousands of pieces of data, and studied and judged these clues one by one. In March last year, Bao Chenxiao, a young policeman from the third team of the Criminal Investigation Detachment of the Yangpu Public Security Bureau, was keenly aware of a telecommunications network fraud den hidden in a country in Southeast Asia when he analyzed the recent "pig killing" wire fraud case in the city. Through following the line, the police quickly figured out the organizational structure and modus operandi of the fraud gang. After investigation, the gang members chatted with the victim on social software to cultivate "feelings" according to the fraudulent words and false personas formulated, and after gaining their trust, they lied about "inside information" and coaxed the victim to invest and recharge on the fraud platform.
Through further digging and combing, the police found that with the continuous increase in the crackdown on overseas telecommunications fraud, the members of the den gang showed signs of "return". As a result, the team members made a decisive attack to arrest them. As the "absolute main force" in the team, Yu Baihao, a young policeman born in the 90s, was ridiculed by his colleagues as the "bad king", and often just came back from a business trip, and went to the next destination before he had time to rest. Since 2023, the Yangpu police have carried out multiple waves of cluster crackdowns against overseas wire fraud dens "returning" to domestic personnel, successively going to more than 80 cities in 25 provinces across the country, and arresting more than 300 criminal suspects, effectively squeezing the living space of telecom network fraud crimes.
Prevent propaganda to go "new" and "heart"
"Ai Ya, you won't be deceived!" Walking into the third team of the Criminal Investigation Detachment of the Yangpu Public Security Bureau, the cute Yangpu Public Security Anti-fraud IP image "Ai Ya" is everywhere. This little duck wearing a warning light was designed and created by Zhou Xunbei, a young policeman.
"I hope that the 'Ai Ya' wearing the warning light can play a high-energy early warning role, just like a conditioned reflex, when the 'Ai Ya' emoji jumps out, the user will chuckle in his heart, and think carefully about whether he is experiencing a telecom network fraud. "Aiya" has also been designed as a WeChat emoji to remind residents to beware of telecom network fraud, and has been downloaded and sent more than 200,000 times.
"Hello everyone, I'm Officer Xiao Leng, a post-00s law police flower who is cold on the outside and hot on the inside. As the youngest "post-00" in the team, the young policeman Pan Lenghui innovated the form of anti-fraud propaganda, focusing on the revelation and prevention of new fraud methods, and created and filmed a series of short anti-fraud propaganda videos of "'Yang' Yan Anti-fraud, Really Reliable", which has been forwarded and promoted by the National Anti-Fraud Center many times, forming a "phenomenal" hot spot publicity. In addition, the original anti-fraud rap MV "You May Not Be Visible" co-created by the third team of the Criminal Investigation Detachment and Shanghai young rap singers stood out from more than 300 anti-fraud propaganda works and won the first prize of the 2023 Shanghai Outstanding Publicity Work for Preventing and Combating Illegal Financial Activities. After listening to the MV, netizens said, "It's really in the brain and heart, it must be played in a loop!" The young policemen brainstormed and carried out online and offline propaganda in a form that the masses like to see, and constantly enhanced the effect of anti-fraud propaganda.
