About the exhibition
In the long history, the Chinese nation has produced many young heroes. Through a hundred years of wind and rain, a force of youth has always been stirring in the land of China. The May Fourth Movement, which broke out on May 4, 1919, was a glorious starting point for Chinese youth to "use youth as my self" to create a "youth country and a youth nation". During the May Fourth Movement, Chinese youth, as an independent force, began to emerge on the stage of history, and they became the vanguard of the Chinese revolution by issuing a sonorous declaration of youth with patriotic actions. After the May Fourth Movement, generation after generation of Chinese young people closely linked their personal ideals with the destiny of the motherland and the people, actively devoted themselves to the great cause of revolution, construction and reform under the leadership of the party, and made outstanding contributions to promoting the Chinese nation to realize the great leap from standing up, becoming rich to becoming strong.
On the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement, we have specially curated the exhibition "Young Heroes in the Centennial Journey", aiming to inherit and carry forward the spirit of May Fourth by telling the stories of young heroes in the journey of more than 100 years. The exhibition focuses on the selection of young heroes (hero groups) who have made outstanding contributions to the founding, construction and development of the Communist Party of China, and reproduces their hearts and paths from four different historical periods: the period of the new democratic revolution, the period of socialist revolution and construction, the new era of reform and opening up and socialist modernization, and the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
