Ho Wing-yin mentioned that she also met an elderly person she visited in Sham Shui Po in the early days of her appointment in 2022. At that time, the elderly man was living in a stuffy and crowded living space, and there was a toilet with no door next to his bed, and he was holding a piece of paper with the word "fast" printed on it, hoping that the government would alleviate the housing difficulties of the public as soon as possible. Ho Wing-yin said that the elderly man is now living in "Pu Lu Heen" and is very satisfied with the life of the transitional house, and said that compared with the previous plight of living in a subdivided unit with high rent, he feels that he is now relaxed and happy, and can finally sleep peacefully.
Ho also visited his Thai mother-in-law, who was raising two grandchildren on her own, and saw that the two young boys were smart and lively, and encouraged them to make good use of the bursaries given to them by Sino Group and the Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation, as her mother-in-law said, to study hard and explore their talents outside of their studies.
