19. Although the maize fields are dry farming, during the rainy season, the fields are mostly muddy, especially in some low-lying plots, which reach the thighs as soon as you step down (Figure D). As a graduate student in agronomy majoring in genetics and breeding, in order to take experimental materials for some key growth nodes, or to cross-pollinate some valuable materials for corn, the time has come, rain or shine, after all, the growth and flowering period of materials are not waiting for anyone, missing a season and waiting for a year (the most important thing is to delay the experiment and cause delay), so the reserved program for going to the ground in the rainy season every year is to dig ditches (Picture A, B) and drain (Picture E), in addition, if you go barefoot on the ground, there will sometimes be some sharp stones or even glass pieces in the ground, for example, I won a prize (Picture C), but wearing slippers often has to sink the slippers into the mud, and I can only dig them out with a shovel (Picture F).
