Recently, the county maternal and child health hospital received a child with a variety of dental endodontic diseases such as apical periodontitis, pulpitis, and deep caries of primary teeth. The child had been to several medical institutions, but the child was afraid of pain and did not cooperate with the treatment, so he could not complete the treatment. With the close cooperation of the Department of Stomatology and the Department of Anesthesiology of the County Maternal and Child Health Hospital, the oral health of the children was successfully protected with oral comfort treatment.
Children's oral comfort treatment refers to the multidisciplinary cooperation technology in which anesthesiologists use general anesthesia technology to assist dentists in treatment, restoration and preventive treatment of children's teeth, which can well solve the problem of young children not cooperating with treatment.
Through painless oral comfort treatment, it can safely and efficiently solve the risk factors affecting the health of children's oral cavity at one time, improve the quality of life related to children's oral health, and protect physical and mental health.
Lv Yan, vice president and director of the Department of Anesthesiology of Jianshui County Maternal and Child Health Hospital, said that the general anesthesia technology of stomatology has been very mature since it was first used in 1951. The drugs, varieties and dosages used in the process have strict management measures and use specifications, with minimal side effects, and can be excreted through normal metabolism, and a short period of time and a single use will not have a negative impact on the behavior and learning ability of infants and young children.
