In May, spring and summer change, and the sun is just right. With the entry of birch juice transport vehicles from various forest farms of Inner Mongolia Forest Industry Group, Cai Licheng, director of the birch sap production workshop of Inner Mongolia Daxinganling Forest Products Co., Ltd., started a busy day again.
Every day, more than a dozen large transport vehicles and about 200 tons of birch sap enter the warehouse, which needs to be completed by Cai Licheng and his more than 60 workers. Birch sap is green, healthy, nutritious, harvested from the wild birch of the Daxing'an Mountains nourished by the black soil in the alpine zone of 49 degrees north latitude, and needs to be processed and stored within 6 hours after collection, and the birch sap harvest period is from early May to mid-May every year, with a limited harvest period of 15 days, which is a great challenge for Cai Licheng and his colleagues. In 2023, Inner Mongolia Daxinganling Forest Products Co., Ltd. will establish a 10,000-ton birch sap collection and processing base in Yakeshi Industrial Park.
