Naturalized player status
Since 2019, China has successfully naturalized as many as 14 players. Three of them have paid a withdrawal fee of 250 yuan and regained their original nationality, while three others have long since stopped playing in China's leagues at all levels, and only eight are still playing in the Chinese Super League.
