There was an abnormal movement in the Diaoyu Islands, Japan struck first, and the Chinese side launched a counterattack, and the coast guard chased the Japanese ships

In recent days, there have been changes in the vicinity of the Diaoyu Dao, and some Japanese politicians have begun to be impatient again, intending to preemptively intrude into the mainland's Diaoyu Dao to carry out so-called "inspections." On the 28th, the spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy in Japan responded to Japan's negative moves related to the Diaoyu Islands, clearly emphasizing that the Diaoyu Dao and its affiliated islands are China's inherent territory, and China's determination and will to safeguard its territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests is unwavering, and urged the Japanese side to abide by the four-point principled consensus between China and Japan, stop all political provocations, on-the-spot disturbances and public opinion hype, and return to the right track of properly managing contradictions and differences through dialogue and consultation, so as to avoid further escalation of the situation.

It has been learned that from 25 to 27 April, within three days, Yoshitaka Nakayama, mayor of Ishigaki City, Okinawa, Japan, together with five members of the Japanese Parliament, including former Defense Minister Tomomi Inada, took the rescue tugboat "Nisei Maru" and Japanese coast protection vessels to try to invade the territorial waters of China's Diaoyu Islands to conduct so-called "marine surveys." In response, our side resolutely launched a counterattack, and the Chinese coast guard ships chased the Japanese ships. From about 3 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the 25th, the Chinese Coast Guard 2302 drove away an intruding Japanese fishing boat in the waters near the small island of Neinan, the territorial sea of the main island of the Diaoyu Islands. Immediately afterwards, the China Coast Guard 2502 and the China Coast Guard 2302 intercepted the intrusion of the Japanese "survey vessel" and the accompanying Japanese maritime protection vessels in the territorial waters of the Diaoyu Islands at about 2 a.m. on the 26th.

However, the two successive expulsions have not made the Japanese politicians give up, they saw that the ship could not get close to the island, so they thought of using the method of drone aerial photography, deep into the air over the Diaoyu Islands to illegally photograph the situation on the island, as a result of their so-called "inspection", at about 6:40 a.m. on the 27th, the Japanese side released a drone, and while they were using the drone to shoot illegally, the other side was still preparing to install infrared cameras for the drone to shoot at night. At this moment, the 2502 ship of the mainland coast guard adjusted its course and directly inserted itself into the formation of Japanese ships to point directly at the Japanese "survey ship", and the two ships were less than 1,000 meters apart at the nearest point. Seeing that its plan failed, the Japanese side canceled the follow-up flight plan after releasing the drone once, and was forced to evacuate and return home ahead of schedule. However, the mainland coast guard ship did not let the Japanese ship go, but followed it for nearly three hours before turning around and returning to the waters of the Diaoyu Islands.

It is undeniable that something similar has happened many times in recent years. Earlier, Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Uekawa also made a lot of nonsense on the issue of the Diaoyu Islands, claiming that the Japanese side is studying the dismantling of the ocean buoys set up by China around the Diaoyu Islands, and also wants to set up Japan's own buoys nearby. In addition, Takahiro Okushima, former director of the Japanese Coast Guard, persuaded the Japanese government to use the so-called "vertical and horizontal" method to win over Asian countries to strengthen the "maritime police" (CG) of "non-military law enforcement agencies", so as to confront China with soft power that does not trigger war, and create conditions for Japan's own plot against the Diaoyu Islands.

Obviously, facts have proven time and again that Japan's ambition to covet the mainland's Diaoyu Islands is still alive and well, and its provocations are obviously intensifying. In this regard, it must be made clear that Diaoyu Dao and its affiliated islands have been China's inherent territory since ancient times, and this has a solid historical and legal basis. Since the end of World War II, the Cairo Declaration and the Potsdam Proclamation have clearly defined the territorial boundaries of Japan, and sovereignty is limited to Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, and Shikoku. According to international regulations, the Diaoyu Islands are not part of Japan's territory. Ignoring historical facts, Japanese politicians have gone to great lengths to portray themselves as "victims", undermine the international community's inherent understanding of the sovereignty issue of the Diaoyu Islands, and use false information to confuse the public. In addition to the Diaoyu Islands, there are also the South China Sea and the Taiwan Strait, and almost all of them can see Japan's figure, and China's consideration of the overall situation of regional peace, stability and development only gives a clear reminder and warning to Japan, but this does not mean that China does not have direct means to fight back.
