The Suzuka Endurance Race is 8 hours, and the China Endurance Race is 3 hours, which are a bit OUT, and Saikelon has played a 12-hour endurance challenge. That was the RX600 Duku Highway 12-hour endurance challenge that was successfully completed on April 27, and the whole process was broadcast live for 12 hours. The reason why I chose Duku Highway is because it is also the main filming location of the Flying Life movie, and the positive and enterprising spirit shown in the movie and the spirit of not giving up easily coincides with the core of the ADV model like Saikelong RX600, which likes to take risks and pursue freedom. On the other hand, because the traditional ring road is single and boring, whether it is ornamental or close to the real scene, it is far inferior to the Dushanzi Grand Canyon.
This large circular route includes paved, gravel, dirt, turnaround and grassy conditions, making it an ideal testing ground for ADVs. The real environment, super complex and difficult road conditions, in fact, has far surpassed the design positioning of the RX600, because the positioning of this car is mainly on the road and light non-paved roads, so this endurance race will be a great test of the RX600's off-road ability and vehicle durability, it turns out that the commercially available mass production RX600 has withstood the test.
The endurance challenge consists of four riders, each riding two RX600s, through 12 hours of non-stop riding, with no engine out in the middle of the substitution (each substitution takes about 2 minutes), and only a few transfers, so this endurance challenge is a huge challenge for both people and bikes. And this challenge is not just about riding slowly for 12 hours, then it loses the meaning of the challenge. The four professional riders are energetic along the way, such as about 150 high-speed violent riding, whether it is a head warped, small jumps on non-paved roads, emergency braking, etc., such as the friction between the tires and the ground when the ABS is turned off. Obviously, our daily motorcycle tour is nowhere near the sustained intensity of this 12-hour endurance race, and the intensity of the Ho car.
In the end, the two RX600s completed their endurance challenge at 9:32 p.m., and according to the gauge data of one of them, it averaged 44 km/h and had a top speed of 156 km/h, which is quite fast as can be seen from the average speed.
